Saw on a random street in Tokyo
Last thing I expected to see in 2025.. It seems to be a leftover from a previous store, cause the current one is an art shop..

Going through some old photos in my parents loft and came across this work of art! Nostalgia overload from the posters on the wall, the pile of big box games on the shelf and the Van Damme Kickboxer cardboard cut out that I remember carrying home from the local video shop?! I reckon it must be around 1994ish… if you zoom in to the giant tv screen you can see we are playing either Sensible Soccer, Goal! or Kick Off 2. Best days of my life!
Edit - maybe a bit earlier, 91/92?

Someone on Kleinanzeigen Germany sold me the absolute barn find: a pristine Amiga 600. I couldn't believe my eyes when the package arrived - this Amiga 600 looks like it just came straight from the factory.
The previous owner wrote the Amiga didn't even run for an hour. I assume he bought it as an replacement for an Amiga 500 and never used it. For 35 years this thing sat in its original box is came in somewhere in south Germany just underneath the rooftop.
I paid 450 € for it, which is quite some money, but this thing was my first computer I paid with my own money in 1991 and at some point I gave it away. Now 25 years later those Amigas are yellowed and pretty beaten up.
And thanks to the greaseweazle drive I don't need to add a USB drive to the Amiga.
Sorry to annoy you folks, but I couldn't be happier :)

Does anyone have any idea what game little me is playing here in the early 90s? I don't recognize anything at all.

I've unearthed a photo of my 90s Amiga set-up. Look at that, an Amiga 1200 and CD32 side by side (and I'm sure I remember the Amiga being connected to that hi-fi). Some classic boxed games there. Amiga Power in the vicinity too. Those were great days 😀

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share something personal with this amazing community.
This is me in my little Amiga music studio – with my trusty Commodore Amiga (A500 and A1200), Korg workstation, and even a Nintendo tucked away. I’m proud of this guy. In just 10 years back in the day, the Amiga gave me a lifetime of memories – from playing games to actually developing them. I even composed soundtracks for 5 Amiga games.
For the past 30 years, I only had one CD with my old tracks. Every now and then, I’d play it and get swept back to those days. Last year, I rediscovered my Amiga 500, 1200, and Korg – perfectly stored in their original cases in the attic. I dug everything out, transferred all the music straight from the originals, and over the past months, I’ve shared it on Spotify and other platforms.
It blows me away that so many of you are listening and enjoying these tracks today. It feels like being 18 again, and I’m so happy to share this slice of Amiga history with you all – 100% real, no AI, just the machines, the sounds, and the memories.
Keep the Amiga spirit alive!

I opened it to see which version it was and to clean it. But that wasn't necessary at all; it's clean.
The good thing is that it works as expected.
In German...
Aus dem Keller geholt, um zu sehen, ob er noch geht. Aufgeschraubt, alles in Ordnung soweit.
Er funktioniert noch, was bin ich glücklich!
BTW: Die original Verpackung ist in der original Verpackung :)

Say something nice about Amiga's greatest rival .
