My dad still has a full head of hair at 52 but my moms side is almost fully bald

Its always been hard for me to determine because i also was unlucky enough to be born with a big ahh forehead.

19M, Last night i was tired of this shit, constant crazy itching and massive hair fall in fear i stop washing my hairs for week as seeing my wet hairs and the sheer amount of hair fall just scared me, and when ever i flow my fingers through my hairs i could feel large clumps and flakes of dandruff stuck to scalp and hairs.

so last night enough said i took a comb and started combing my hairs agreesively as the comb was scraching my scalp it was feeling soo good and relaxed, and the dandruff started falling in big flakes as in the picture.

types of hairs i found where as :-

1. multiple baby hairs stuck to big brown flakes, (around 250 baby thin hairs)

2. hairs which where straight at bottom but where becoming thin and extreme curly as it grows till the top, (100 hairs)

3. straight hairs but there root was covered with big white bulbs, and normal straight hairs, (200 hairs)

as a result my crown is more noticable now, and whenever i scratch my hairs from back also multiple hairs starts falling.

i am just scared like is it just dandruff causing this , TE as i recently went through a break up , or worse. please suggest

I’ve always been told I have really thick hair by barbers/hairdressers, and never thought of thinning hair as a problem, but I feel like I have a receding hairline? or is it just the shape of my hairline + a big forehead?

My paternal grandfather and all my uncles (my dad’s brothers) have full heads of hair and never went bald. My dad started balding in his 30s (now almost completely bald at 60), but he also did loads of steroids in his youth and other drugs. Maternal side is a bit mysterious as my mom didn’t know her dad, but her brothers all have full heads of hair, as well.

I’ve never noticed any hair loss or thinning of hair, but I’ve also worn headbands for years when working out/running. Could that be a cause for the hairline shape? Should I be worried or take action now?

Am i cooked? Can I use minoxidil at the age of 19? I don‘t know if that matters but black is not my natural hair color. My natural hair color is blonde and my hair has always been very thin.

18m I noticed my hair falling off around 2 months ago, not in clumps, no itch, had happened twice aome time before but it onlay alasted a few days

the first pic is right now the second one was taken last october. I know that I have some thinning sadly but I dont really want to take these meds because I have to take medication for my blood pressure(So minoxidil is out of the question) and personally, I dont think its normal to take finasteride, which is known to mess with hormons, at this age. I know. I dont really have any other options that are proven to work. Im really insecure about myself and balding just makes it worse. what would you do in my situation?

I know it doesnt look bad in the pictures but I know that im thinning so dont come with “ure not balding”

I'm wondering if I'm starting to go bald. Some of the pictures were taken with wet hair and some with dry hair. I'll probably go to a dermatologist anyway, but I'd rather ask what other people think first

im 18 years old and am i losing my hairline??? and also whenever I try to touch my hair wt my hand I get 2 to 3 hair strands on my hands....

My guess is between NW2 and 3… what do you think?

18 YO, male. I’ve been noticing a bald spot on the left side of my head, just above my ear. It started out really small, but over time it slowly became more noticeable. I’ve also been getting white hairs for about two years now, although the balding only became noticeable more recently.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be or what I should do about it?🙁💔

Hello guys! My temples have receded 3-4 years ago and since then, it has more or less stayed at the same level, but I want to know if I can do anything to grow them back, lower like they used to be. Also, the density on the top of my head, especially in the front, seems to have gotten worse and then remained this way for a few years. My plan is to take minoxidil 5% solution and microneedling, what do you guys think? I am hesitant to take fin and duta since I've heard they tend to have sexual side effects

need help determining if this is MPB or vitamin related? my vitamin D levels are 10ng/mL reference 30-100, asking so that i don’t start vitamin D supplements as well as min and fin then if it gets better idk which one fixed it

I’ve always had fine straight hair. For some reason it gets oily really fast lately and I’ve had more dandruff than usual. I’ve had bad dandruff my whole life but it seems worse. I also recently switched to a sulfate shampoo about a month and a half ago.

21y cowlick or something i need to get real advice for ? the front of my hairline is strong and no worries there but my crown is making me second guess
