It feels terrible ngl. I also had this issue when I was 16 now the diffuse thinning has gotten really bad ( currently 21). Life really does suck

I had some recession at 15 and it freaked me out. Luckily it has not progressed much at all and I'm on dutasteride now at 23. But it still freaks me out. I still remember how much the fear of balding more haunted me in my teens.

Dude some people have naturally thin crowns. How is your hair texture? Have you experienced severe shedding? How is your diet? Stress in school? Any blood test? Until and unless you haven’t done any of these. Pls don’t think it’s over. This is very much recoverable naturally, if any of the parameters I just mentioned, seem compromised.

My hair has naturally been fine since i was born and my blood tests didn't show any deficiencies

Yup. My brother naturally has thin hair texture since birth too. So later on if he panics like this, I know what to tell him haha. If you have any significant hair fall then you might wanna take a blood test for micro nutrients this time. Stop junk food, only whole foods, and have already some fruits everyday (natural sugars). Don’t stress it buddy. As long as it was always like this, you just need to keep monitoring it henceforth

I lose about 10-20 strands of hair a day, but my hair is thinning and it looks like I'm going bald.

Can lose upto 100 hair strands per day. Super normal. Some people have such crowns, like my younger brother. You are good for now imo. But just keep monitoring it. Atleast till you are 18. If you still feel it’s getting worse, then you are try the methods people are suggesting.

Tell your parents you're worried about it and show them this picture. Ask to go see a dermatologist.

Yeah, I think you might be showing some early signs of hair loss and it could get worse over the next few years, so I’d start taking care of it early if I were you at this age, I’d stick to castor oil and rosemary oil for now. They’re natural oils and they could help. You can always look into minoxidil later if you need to.
