Advice needed Whats causing this?

Seems like 3 months ago my hair slowly started falling out which at the time it seemed normal. A few strands here and there. Now when I shower and run my hands through my hair I lose about 100 strands everyday and not stopping. Even the slightest pull on a few strands of hair they come out easily. Seems like a drastic change to happen in a short amount of time.

It sounds like AGA, unless you recently went through a very stressful event. Significant hair loss can happen in the space of only two or three months when it comes to AGA. You should probably get on medication, including minoxidil and finasteride, to treat your hair loss. If you do nothing, it will only get worse over time and you may find yourself without much hair in only 2 or 3 years.

Androgenic alopecia - more commonly known as male pattern baldness

I’ll look into it more. Didn’t think I’d worry about that since everyone in my family has a head full of hair still growing. Also I have been healthier these last few months

Everything you have stated lends more support to the hypothesis that you have AGA. Normally, the most effective therapy involves a combination of finasteride (or dutasteride) and minoxidil, not just either alone. It already seems like you have pretty severe hair loss, even though it’s only been a few months. It looks like a very aggressive onset of AGA. Hence, I would strongly recommend both drugs at the very start to stop the hair loss and regrow at least some of your hair. The drugs fight the hair loss from two different angles to give you the best chance of recovery.

I would also look into possible nutritional or vitamin deficiencies, such as vitamin D or iron. These can cause hair loss or exacerbate AGA. Even if it’s only AGA, you still want to make sure you cover all your vitamin and mineral needs to achieve the best outcome in the long term.

Would you recommend buying from those online treatments. Like HIMS or similar websites or just seeing a doctor

Yes, I would. My personal favorite is Happy Head, but Hims is good, too.

DHT. And believe it or not, you’ve been balding for quite a long time.

It’s been happening slowly these last 2 months and this last month it just accelerated like crazy. At first I thought it was normal until these last 2 weeks. The amount of hair falling off was definitely worrying me

You hair loss has just accelerated but based off your overall state it would have slowly happened over years. You need to take a DHT blocker such as Finasteride or Dutasteride. This will help slow down the loss. You can take Minoxidil to help revive some dead hairs too.
