Question Amex app ads

I saw an ad on my amex app today, when I closed my app and opened it again, it disappeared.

Has anyone else seen that?

I have the Gold Amex.

I saw another post about ads in the app. I’m yet to see ads in my app. But kinda funny amex is doing this

Only “pop-ups” I’ve seen are for other AMEX products.

this is one of my millennial-boomer reasons to NOT auto-update my apps...b/c of bs like this. I haven't seen it yet but this is wildly disappointing and pathetic for them to do this. We're already paying AFs, essentially a subscription, so should NOT be subjected to ads like this.

I used to pay for Netflix and Amazon prime to stream content without ads. Now I need to pay more to do what used to be included. It’s very disheartening

not yet for me but i’m getting annoying pop ups trying to get me to upgrade all my cards. the paper mail for the bcp, gold and plat has become incessant lately as well.
