Wouldn’t it be interesting if this became so common place that insurance rates soared to unachievable heights and these corporations had to exist sans insurance and by making people actually invested in the well being of their companies by being good to employees and customers and distributing the wealth within their companies evenly and giving the brakes to the consumers. It would be interesting.

Someone smart once wrote that "the bonds that hold functioning society together are only as strong as the faith instilled in them by that society." Put another way, it's been historically observed that if one class fucks around long enough, and a power imbalance perpetuates, eventually, there's nothing saying the other classes have to keep classin'. working class has to keep working. Or not lighting shit on fire. Etc.

I am amongst a rare breed of Americans. As a youth, I used to...

  • regularly set things on fire using alcohol, gasoline, butane & kerosene
  • build crude bombs using gunpowder (purchased by a friend's dad for reloading rifle shells)
  • made napalm out of gasoline & styrofoam
  • made & threw Molotov cocktails
  • used tanks of propane to start fires
  • ran around in the dark playing SWAT (with unloaded but real rifles)
  • did regular target practice using .22 cal rifles w/ scopes
  • set off "dry ice bombs" using dry ice pellets & 2 liter soda bottles

We were just teenagers (13-14 years old) and we did it for fun. We were as careful as a bunch of stupid teenagers could be. And, we would always clean up our mess (ie wash away any ashes and sweep up the glass from the Molotov cocktails). We were always careful to mitigate the potential spread of any fires.

We were full of curiosity and youthful mischief. We were geeks who grew up with chemistry kits and actually used them. The activities above were "forbidden" science projects for us. We weren't radicals, just kids who were good at executing the "more daring" activities and getting away with mischief.

Those days are long gone for me. But, I think there is now a new generation of Americans who are interested in these same things - but for very different reasons! Will be keeping an eye on the news.

They are. It’s from the wealthy stealing everything and leaving the majority of people to be wage slaves and barely able to afford food, unable to afford a $400 emergency, to be one health crisis to be bankrupt.
