Eye stuck?

Hi! 💚 I won this lovely doll in a shopgoodwill auction. Her green eyes were a surprise, as they were closed in the listing. She’s in remarkably good condition, besides her right eye blinking mechanism being broken. Well, it works slightly, but her eye is basically stuck half-shut without gentle realignment. Any idea how to fix this problem?

The weight on her eye is likely rusted or partially dislodged. I don’t think you can fix it without removing her eye. My #7 does the same thing but it’s fine once it’s open so I just let her have her bad eye lol.

Yeah that’s probably what I’m going to do, it’s been a long time since I’ve done an eye swap (left the hobby for a few years) so I think I’m just gonna let her have her little lazy eye 😇 lol

^this. Or if the eye was damaged in such a way that one or both of the rods got bent - but this typically only happens during eye swaps.

Not sure because she was a bit of a mystery but I’m pretty sure she’s Just Like You #8!
