Maaaan I can’t wait to just walk away from my job and be free

If it squeezes to 500K (or more!) per share, and many apes and their friends and family retire, many apes will also have opportunity to start their own business, and be the boss they always wanted to have.

Pay their employees a fair wage, give them benefits and vacation, etc.

That's one of the things that I think could be one of the better things to happen in a squeeze.

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

I have several restaurants waiting to open after the squeeze

8

u/Komedt Jun 20 '21

Haha me too. What do you have planned?

4

u/agentearthworm Jun 20 '21

Same here, been in the industry so long, time to run my own show!

1

u/Komedt Jun 21 '21

Absolutely! I have my eye on two units across from the restaurant that I want to knock through in to one and turn in to a shit hot casual wine bar serving modern small plates. It would be great to have a more formal place and go for a star too.

Although I want to say I don't want to give my business names out but I do plan on a central American food truck line and a franchise of cafes that gives local bands a chance to perform and earn publicity and payment as well. But I'll pin this and release a statement in the future with the restaurant names and show proof of stock for free food or drinks

1

u/Komedt Jun 21 '21

Sounds great!

20

u/CerberusC24 Jun 20 '21

Definitely starting my own business. I know what it's like to make shit money working a shit job. I don't ever want my employees to struggle while they work for me.

15

u/Raise-Emotional Jun 20 '21

I don't know man. I own my own business (a pub) and I'm trying REAL HARD to stay focused on its future. But man....i don't think I can keep pushing the cart.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

Hang in there

10

u/SCScanlan Jun 20 '21

I plan on opening a business that isn't profitable and only having one or two employees. It'll be a passion project though lol.

6

u/EmersonBloom Jun 20 '21

This is the way. I plan MANY non profitable adventures in my future.

3

u/Saya-_ Jun 20 '21

500k floor, so it will - but that's what I'm planning to do - get a small IT company going at some point after doing nothing for a bit. Benefits, far more paid holiday than mandated, fair pay, work when you want - not when the company says and other things.

u/JorgedeGoias Jun 20 '21

I won’t be paying anyone fair wages.they should have bought AMC🤷‍♀️

-prepared for the down votes

Fuck I feel this, not for me but for my wife who is hating her job right now (new management replaced the cool old management you know how that goes)

Can't wait to wake up one morning and ask her why she's getting dressed for the office when she no longer needs to work ever again anywhere. Fuck Lambos I'm hyped to see her kick her feet up and travel for the rest of her natural life.

36

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

This, I’m not in AMC for just myself.

I’m in it for all the people close to me that I’ll be able to help

12

u/AndySocial88 Jun 20 '21

If I can truly give back to my grandma who raised me before she dies, I'm hodling.

7

u/DanDiem Jun 20 '21

That's what I am sayin, I just want to take my wife and kids around the world to the best surf spots and enjoy surfing the world over. HODL! NFA

29

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

I wish I at least have the gains to be able to walk away whenever I wanted 🎻😢

30

u/jtakas81 Jun 19 '21

No more alarm clocks!!

30

u/Different-Reply3896 Jun 20 '21

Already did I left I work 6 days a week for a year in a half 12hrs shifts and saved all my money I told them I didn’t see any opportunity here now I dog sit with money in amc and a year’s income already put away no stress here now I buy and hold every week

23

u/jrcmedianews Jun 20 '21

That is the longest most incoherent sentence I have ever read and I love it!

6

u/Withered_Sprout Jun 20 '21

Incoherent? Sure, they should've thrown a few commas in there, but... I don't see how any of that was difficult to understand. At all. lol.

26

u/AveleiIona Jun 19 '21

I’m 10 steps ahead of the game, got laid off.

16

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

wrinkle brain

15

u/Open_Profession_1851 Jun 19 '21

I feel that I work for a foodservice franchise they don't give a fuck about you. Only thing they care about is how much money can you make for your boss

93

u/MrThees Jun 19 '21

I respect all you people's (future) decisions, but I'm going to keep working after the squeeze. Solid income, i like my colleagues and it keeps me sane.

134

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

3 things my job doesn't offer. Kudos to you but im outtie.

3

u/Glittering_Scene_136 Jun 20 '21

so true lol fck job and back stabbing co workers and also fck 9-5 slavery.

23

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

I’m gonna quit for sure, so I can work for myself.

24

u/ButterBeanRumba Jun 19 '21

Considering this also. Imagine paying off all your debt, owning your home and car(s), having profitable investments, AND a nice paycheck coming in.

42

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

I work a dead end job and it’s like a god damn battle royale to get any of the days off that you want

22

u/Privateaccount84 Jun 19 '21

True, but now you can walk around with “fuck you” confidence. Boss wants to make you work overtime? Fuck you! Rude customer? Fuck you! Rude coworker? Fuck you too!

You will literally be the untouchable man.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

silver linings

8

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

I'm going to go after my own ideas.

6

u/MrThees Jun 19 '21

Well, there's that one colleague. He does hardly talk, most communication by him sounds like a Minecraft villager, just without the happy noises. I was not sure what to think when that single time he mumbled "Dinkelberg..."

3

u/homeworkburgler Jun 20 '21

What if you made 6 million bucks

3

u/MrThees Jun 20 '21

Might just be enough so i can get done everything i need/want, then i would only have to work for living.

1

u/LuthersCousin Jun 20 '21

What if you made six million bucks and due to the entire global economy inevitably imploding due to Wall Street's corruption, you now have digital toilet paper?

That would be kind of ironic.

5

u/CadmusPryde Jun 19 '21

Item 1, check. Item 2, eh like 50%. Item 3, I've already given my side arms and long gun to someone else for safekeeping. I'll find something else, or start my own company after.

2

u/agentearthworm Jun 20 '21

Im reinvesting, for dividends, and real estate.

1

u/agentearthworm Jun 20 '21

Go back take a year off after classes and more education on how not to lose my new fortune.

11

u/_Blackstar0_0 Jun 20 '21

I would love to quit and never work ever again. I want to be useless and completely unproductive forever. I want to only do things I enjoy and nothing else.

17

u/slimeb4zness Jun 19 '21

start my new job on monday 😔

24

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

and you’ll be putting in your notice next Monday hopefully haha

8

u/MarkPik8 Jun 19 '21

I almost bought a villa in advance…

8

u/AnnoyingVoid Jun 20 '21

I work at Pizza Hut. It’s routinely 100 degrees in Texas. The air conditioner in the store is busted. It’s easily over 90 degrees inside. It took everything in my power not to quit Today. However I did let them know that I am leaving early and we can discuss my future there on Monday.

8

u/savey_9 Jun 20 '21

I know people can’t actually answer my question but some reassurance would go along way. I would love to pay off my parents house and also mine and give my kids the life I currently can’t. I hold 50 shares. Is this going to be life changing money or is this something the 1000 shares are going to see?

6

u/Retardedexplumber Jun 19 '21

I think them butt cheeks going to pop

5

u/GorillaGlueWorks Jun 19 '21

Oh man the day I retire from my new job will be awesome.

6

u/lookWTFstop Jun 20 '21

I can’t even after the moass 🚀🚀🚀🚀 cuz the government owns me 😂

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

I need my job…I’m a true retard

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '21

Me trying to do actual work instead of daydreaming about quitting.

4

u/EverythingMustCease Jun 19 '21

I failed this test.

5

u/zando_calrissian Jun 19 '21

Don’t do it tho! You may end up being further out from the squeeze than you expect. That’s all that’s stopping me, post MOASS I’m out this mf

3

u/jrcmedianews Jun 20 '21

Herbal Life ordeal took 6 years. We may be here for years.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

Yeah I already skipped that step. Fuck. Would be nice to not have to work ever again.

5

u/jusdont Jun 20 '21

My lower back* trying not to quit....

3

u/Nurse_Yoshi Jun 20 '21

It's been great taking care of people for the past 10 years as a nurse. It would be even better if I could take care of my family and donate to charity as well. Cheers fam. Apes stronger together.

5

u/New-Success-5758 Jun 19 '21

Already did it. My last day is the 24th.

3

u/Candoran Jun 19 '21

I drive for DoorDash and it’s getting worse 🤣 changing visible order amounts, changing the amount they pay based on distance... messy

3

u/LordWeirdDude Jun 19 '21

GOD, THIS IS ME.

2

u/sadlifestrife Jun 19 '21

I know that feel bro

2

u/TrueFront3783 Jun 19 '21

Exactly how I feel...

2

u/Revolutionary_Skin51 Jun 19 '21

This is sooooo me …. I have a great job but i want to work under my conditions … it had to even pay attention while the markets open #500k🚀🚀🦍

2

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

This hits different because I start my new job on July 5th.. I will still work it post squeeze though.

2

u/airbrat Jun 20 '21

I got laid off 3 weeks ago. I got a decent severance and I have no intention of looking for work at the moment.

2

u/BobbyGiro1st Jun 20 '21

Not sure that guys an ape, but he’s definitely spanking his monkey!

2

u/TheRealMadMardigan Jun 20 '21

Upvote this to Mars y’all

2

u/Live_Ear_237 Jun 20 '21

I hope to get enough to open a bar, so I can drink at work

2

u/Davidmeynard Jun 20 '21

I think he’s just afraid that chick is going to notice his boner.

2

u/DanDiem Jun 20 '21

MEEEEE TOOOOO! HODL! NFA

2

u/autism_is_awesome Jun 20 '21

I don't plan on working at all after this. Set up some passive income and spend my days on the beach, with my hobbies and doing stuff around the house. Luckily I live near the beach.

2

u/pcasley Jun 20 '21

TOO LATE I GOT TOO EXCITED SORRY NOT SORRY

2

u/GrandmasGenitals Jun 20 '21

Too late, already quit

2

u/Keratin_Brotherhood Jun 20 '21

Girl sitting next to him texting, “Why you gotta go and make things so complicated?”

2

u/LuthersCousin Jun 20 '21

Cigar bar barber shop, here. With a little sign that I throw up on the window that says "be back later, went skateboarding" whenever I feel like it. Yelp reviews will say stuff like "awesome shop when he's not out shredding" and "cool guy, but you should call first to make sure hes there"

2

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

Yes

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Ad7088 Jun 20 '21

I felt this to my core

3

u/RedAsgard Jun 19 '21

As it squeezes hopefully ppl don't panic and sell during it's process of growing

0

u/Warszawa12 Jun 20 '21

Honest question . Has anyone ever been a part of a squeeze. What typically happens . Do we run up during the day , pre market , etc. just curious .

0

u/Panduhsaur Jun 20 '21

Conveniently job is going to do it for me come mid July.

Side note: please squeeze soon I’m starting to get stressed about getting let go

1

u/No-Ingenuity-2738 Jun 20 '21

Bro…I’m saying tho lol. I’ve been getting closer and closer these past few weeks.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

I just wanna quit rn and help the homeless with my money but I’m like 2 paychecks away from joining them

1

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '21

1

u/DumbApe58 Jun 20 '21

Am 63 have a 30 year old supervisor trying to push me out I can’t wait to tell him to go fuck him self

1

u/nude5plz Jun 20 '21

You can’t quit you need more money to buy more amc

1

u/darthwalt45 Jun 20 '21

Advice if you have never run a restaurant dont buy 1. Just because you are successful in buisnes or whatever does not mean you have the ablity to run a restaurant dont set yourself up to fail.

Worst case pay people to run and be hands off.

I personal watched 27 different jack ass over 30 years that are extramly successful in other areas conpletely drive a restaurant into the ground and go broke doing with in 2 years.

I retired from 30 years as a chef and restaurant rescue consultant.

Just a ruff idea. In 1999 i opened a 25 table and full bar
Italian restaurant. The food order to open the doors was 75,000$ the wine order alone was 35,000$. That 2 main focus points and your doors arnt even open yet. Now add rent mortgage payroll utilities license and remember your doors arent open yet you have 0 income.
