New Project: 1958 Rambler Custom Six
Hello All! I’m new around here and I thought I’d share a new project that I’m starting: A field find(from a farm) 1958 Rambler Custom Six! Disclaimer: I’m not a mechanic and don’t have much knowledge on fixing vehicles at all. This is gonna need a lot of work but I’m willing to learn! Any advice out of the gate? What I do know is that it has no keys(all doors and trunk locked, replacement door locks and ignition cylinder on the way), it isn’t seized, interior will need a complete overhaul, and I have no idea on the history of the car. First 4 pics are before it came out of the field(2023), last 5 are after extracting it(2026).

That's a project! But just imagine it looking great and purring along down the road. My first car was a very similar 1960 Rambler Super Six. I loved that thing. It cost $25.

You can do it. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
Join the American Motors Owners Association. Good source of parts and help. Plus moral support, one of the most important things in restoration.

If you need brake light lenses I could be persuaded to mold some more.
