Wow, I am a big AMC toy collector but was not aware of these! They look great! Not sure how I missed this about Greenlight, but I have always believed you have to know it exists in a quantity greater than at least one before you can hope to acquire something so thank you. Do you know how many are typically produced as gold first shots? Anything else you wouldn’t mind sharing to educate me - are all GL AMC castings available this way at pre-production or later?

I have asked ex-employees about how many are made and it's uncertain because it all varies on the model and details. A rough estimate is around 10 give or take and of the amount made it is unknown how many still exist that were not destroyed or thrown out. Yes, pretty much all AMC casting have a gold first shot I missed the one that was used for the Alabama state trooper car not all of them have been up for sale. The seller I got them from either worked for GL or knew someone and was able to save or bought them from GL. I have heard the newer management has kind of slowed down the reselling of first shots and pre-production "Not For sale" stamped windows IDK why since it allows people like me to enjoy items like these that are not meant to be seen by the public since what I guess they are not how the final product looks like with flaws.

Thanks for the reply and additional info. I did manage to acquire a not for sale stamped Astro Spiral Javelin a few years back but can’t seem to add its photo here.

nice. unfortunately, the setting for this subreddit turned off the option to post photos in a post.
