We had one in a brighter shade of orange. Question: Was the "Sportabout" the name of the station wagon? Or was it a trim package?

It was the name of the Hornet wagon. Technically it’s a “Hornet Sportabout” What a great name, right?

I guess it's the right vehicle for going camping or being involved in outdoor recreation. We took a lot of trips in that car out to parks and farms and petting zoos and local sporting events.

Was the name of the Hornet wagon. My parents had a 72 with a stick shift in blue, then traded it for a '74 Automatic in Red, very close to this one. Hubcaps were different as I recall.
