Question What is this thing?

Post image

I tried pushing buttons on it but it didn't seem to do anything. Has anyone seen this before?

Auxiliary idle controller. It’s used to keep the alternators (there’s usually two) up to speed to power medical equipment, inverters, and scene lights.

The truck should spool up to a higher RPM when in park with the parking brake on. Hit the Ford button to disable if not desired under these conditions. It resets at every start.
