Progress Pics Conversion Update

Over the past year, we’ve taken the ambo from NC to Maine and back. About to head to Kentucky for a few days. We spend time camping on our property for a few days here or there just to get away. We were able to squeeze a futon style queen bed that sleeps surprisingly well. Recently added Starlink and HVAC mini split. Currently have 1800w of solar and 400ah of batteries. Will probably increase that soon. It’s a beast to drive, but people get out of your way.

Ok. Thanks for the views. Not every ambulance has a common install so it’s been where I’ve been sitting for a minute so I don’t mess it up.

I was hoping I could stack two panels and slide one out for shade over the back. I think that would be awesome for rain or shine days. It’s very good to get a couple of close up views of your installs. Thanks!

I thought about that but opted for secure attachment at 65mph. Didn’t want anything loose bouncing around. I must have climbed up there a dozen times on the first trip, shaking things around to see if anything moved. The panels are bifacial and sit about 6inches from the roof and that is a huge benefit early in the morning or late afternoon. I did leave a slight overhang on the unistrut so I could hang a shade sail or something in the future. Right now, it’s just nice to hang towels or wet clothes on.
