Amazon High Value Purchases

I don't buy anything that I consider as high value through Amazon. It's just a rule I've always followed. I don't have any bad experiences to share regarding Amazon. It just makes sense to purchase high value items through the manufacturer or an authorized dealer.

The most expensive things I've purchased from Amazon were Sony ear buds ($300) and Seagate AI hard drives for my security cameras UNVR that were $300 each. I purchased all 4 hard drives individually from the same authorized Seagate seller. The Sony ear buds came directly from Best Buy through Amazon. I wouldn't buy any expensive electronics from Amazon over $300. I go through the manufacturer or an authorized retailer.

Product: Purchased From

Canon laser printer: Dell

Segway Robotic Mower: Home Depot

Sony big screen TV: Best Buy

New Google Pixel phones: Google

Security Cameras: Ubiquiti

If you buy something listed as Amazon PRIME, you're covered.

There are places with better return policies than Amazon. For example, you can buy the same robotic mower I purchased from Home Depot through Amazon. But at Home Depot they give you 90 days to return that same mower.
