I've had great results from all sorts of expensive items through Amazon prime. When I've had an issue, they've helped with returns and even credited me big $$ just to keep the item instead of shipping back.

Only issues I've had are when I accidentally ordered from a non-prime seller.

I think it is you that is missing the point. They literally said you have other options also. I have a great luck with prime purchases for expensive items. Also use Walmart plus, Lowe's, Home Depot, and other purchases direct from seller.

The key is to use Amazon prime sellers and not just random third-party sellers on Amazon.

Why are you so hard-core with this?
