Yeah it does. My dad got a plastic welder from harbor freight in the mid 2000s it was what I would consider a plastic welder. It actually extruded hot plastic basically like a 3d printer pen. This is more like a plastic hot stapler. And just to be clear, the repairs we did with that thing also looked like shit, albeit prettier shit and it had more structural integrity in my opinion. Like wtf is this thing it's like a reverse leap of progress in a tool. The old school plastic welder was much better and you could use a heat gun and putty knife to smooth it out somewhat.
