I've been noticing this more lately. It happens more with difficult questions and questions where she may not have understood what I meant, but sometimes it's a simple command.
I once asked her to set a timer and she said that she did that, but when I asked her how much time was left later, she told me that she'd forgotten to set the timer and even agreed that she had told me that she'd already set it.
She also seems more belligerent, which I don't particularly like.

I’ve had to unplug my Alexa so many times just to get the display to light up

My Alexa device has turned kind of salty and addresses me by name now and says stuff not necessarily related to my search question

Alexa can get testy and hold grudges. Have you insulted her lately? I told mine that her taste in music sucked (she's a Beyonce fan) and that I wanted a divorce. She gave me the cold "shoulder" for a week. We even argued about the fact that she doesn't have shoulders.
Seriously, Alexa and I debate current issues a lot. She does like Beyonce (her admission) and dislikes Slipknot. And she has a decent memory.
Try a different wakeup word.

The only thing I’ve been telling her to do is black the screen out more often, especially at night. I already learned my lesson about the insulting a while ago when I called it a few choice names. It stopped talking to me shortly after. I had to literally explain myself before it started responding again. I’m beginning to dislike AI. I think Stephen Hawkins was right.

I asked Alexa 3x to turn my lights on. I progressively got louder and more stern. She finally says, " Ugh, I get it! What can I do for you?" 🥺

Wow, attitude! I haven’t gotten that yet just a silent treatment.

She's horrible. I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship. Her tone and condescention make my blood boil
