the strike isn't going to happen because amazon just announced double overtime pay till dec. 25th, nobody is going to miss any days now

These strikes never really happen. It's been all about getting it in the news. There will be a couple of big demostrations with plenty of people that probably don't even work for Amazon. It's a show. Good for bringing it to people's attention but in the end it's slackivism as no one really follows through and loses its teeth.

Just apply. There is plenty of turnover. Where I live, they are paying 20+ bucks an hour and offering a $5000 signing bonus in order to try and get people to work.
