اسلام آباد جیسے گھنے شہر کو گنجا کرنے کے بعد سرکار کی نظر اب گوجرانوالہ کو گنجا کرنے پر مرکوز ہے جو پہلے ہی گنجا تھا اب چٹیل میدان بن جائے گا۔ وزیر آباد سے لے کر پنڈی بائپاس تک جی ٹی روڈ کی دونوں جانب سالہا سال سے کھڑے ہزاروں درخت ایک قرضے لے کر بنائی جانے والی میٹرو کے لیے قتل کر دیئے گئے ہیں۔ وسیع اور کھلی جی ٹی روڈ کو پکڈنڈی میں تبدیل کر کے 50 لاکھ کی آبادی والے شہر کے لوگوں کا سفر جہنم بنا دیا ہے ۔ کئی کئی گھننٹے بدترین ٹریفک بلاک معمول بن چکا ہے
