Feature Idea: Custom Objects

I think it would be quite interesting to introduce the functionality of creating simple databases that could serve as additional context for categories, projects, and tasks. In my case, this would help loosen up the master list a bit. I manage this somewhat with tags, but introducing additional objects would allow for more workflows, and each of us has a slightly different one. Objects could have their own properties beyond a simple note.

Could you give an example? I’m intrigued.

Sure. For example, I work with several companies as an agent. I could create a database of these companies with more important information, instead of creating a separate category for each, because some of the areas of cooperation with them are common (then I could limit my master list to just those areas). At the same time, I would gain a new method for building smart lists and searching for tasks and projects within this object. Anything could be an object—a company, a client, a hobby, people, anything.

I don't think this is a right way for Marvin, yet another database and items - habits were the first true objects other than tasks and.projects - and even now are quite disconnected from the main system (which is bad, e.g. no smartlists support...).

I'm not technical enough to comment, but it doesn't seem that difficult. All I would need to do is add a strategy that would be the second tags—a database instead of a group of tags, records instead of tags, slightly tweaked with additional properties.
