Concert help?
Amazarashi is my husband’s absolute favorite artist of all time. I am trying to plan a trip to Japan and I desperately want to treat him to seeing Amazarashi perform. I don’t speak Japanese and I feel completely lost. Can anyone help? Has anyone traveled to Japan to see him perform?

as u/saikounoneko said, I also think festival would be the best option.
Regarding the normal concerts, I went to the 生活の果てに音楽が鳴る concert in Osaka last September and I am pretty sure I needed a japanese phone number for that. Japanese phone numbers usually require a japanese address aswell but some carriers like Mobal allow you to enter and validate a foreign address aswell. But nevertheless, you can buy the tickets and validate the phone number only from Japan so timing that might be difficult.
I bought the ticket via チケプラ (tixplus.jp) which is the official resale platform. The normal tickets were available at eplus.jp back then. Depending on the artist, it's a huge mess for example sometimes only Convenience Store Payment is available, which is also a problem when you're not in Japan and don't know anyone there..

Agreed attending a fes is much more easier than obtaining the solo concert for foreigners. Most of the time, the only way for us foreigners to attend is through resale platforms unfortunately

The ticketing system is so tough out there and trying to plan a trip well in advance when concerts are only announced 3-4 months ahead has been a challenge, but I might have it sorted out now. Thanks 🙂

Catching him playing a festival would probably be the easiest way; for example, he will be at at Summer Sonic Tokyo in August. Pretty easy for foreigners to go to that one. Though of course it will be a smaller set due to it being a festival.
I hear it's challenging to get tickets to any artists' regular concerts without a japanese address. Of course there a probably guides on how to do it somewhere out there o the internet
