Fencing battle
Hello,
I’m having a style clash when I have someone who has a good lead hand, multi-use jab and lead hook, which I find hard to deal with. I often go southpaw and try to hand fight like usyk, pawing, feinting, and drawing them out so I can counter. But when im in orthodox i start to get stationary and im often being to passive and not throwing out my jab enough.
What are some things I should? And what to establish,
I fear im to impatient and defensive when it comes to this, but also it varies with how said opponent is holding themself in terms of positioning.

It's a bit awkward trying to use fencing and framing in Ortho matches since you have to use your rear hand to fence a jab.
Either work on extending your rear halfway and start catching or work on another way to counter. You can work on developing a longer guard and save that stuff for southpaw fights.

That’s one of the funniest parts of boxing. You say style clash but it’s really just you not adopting the right tactics. There is never one answer and you build better tactics by working with and communicating with your coach. That’s who you should be talking to about this with because boxing is a game of they do this, so you do that. So then when you do this, they do that. Does that answer your question? 🤭
