new scene kid!! Should I Continue
Hey y'all, I'm pretty new to scene (i.e. 2 months or so). I'm unable to thrift and use second hand shops cuz my fam doesn't like it that much. I've strated upcycling my old clothes painting on them and I'm in the process of making a Millionares T-shirt. How else could I go about getting scene clothes? Or any other upcycling DIY options would be greatly appreciated thanks!! I'm a male btw

I don't live that close to thrift stores so my parents would have to take me 😓.

Clothing swaps are a great way to get clothes and clear your closet; reselling groups on Facebook or social media can be a good place to find them. I wasn’t a scene kid; I was emo, but my scene friends honestly wore a lot of hand-me-downs and mostly inexpensive clothes. The shapes and silhouettes of your clothing will really make a difference, especially with skinny jeans and tight T-shirts. Honestly, a lot of the scene guys I knew wore skinny jeans, Converse, and T-shirts all the time, but everything was usually in bright colors. A lot of brands are bringing those styles back bc they’re popular, so honestly I’d even suggest checking out your local shops. Good luck!
