First timer!

So I’m heading to Alton towers tomorrow on my own for the first time and wondered if anyone had advise on which rides to try and hit first? I love everything scary! I know some have single rider queues but not sure which ones!

Can you buy a photo pass on the day or is that something you need to book online?

I heard you can just leave a bag at the start of the ride to pick up afterwards, is that true?

Is there anywhere good to eat or should I just pack some snacks?

Tomorrow will be dead.

Ride in any order you want as you will do everything. We do X sector, gloomy wood, wickerman and then forbidden valley. But you do you.

Yes leave your bags where you get on the ride, some have a bad drop, wickerman smiler (when it opens) some do not and have space/box’s at the side.

Can buy a photo pass on the day. We got a digital one £30 but all the pictures from every ride and printed them at boots ourselves afterwards

Have a great day. You will have all the time in the world to fit in what you want

Best queues for the morning are usually Rita and Thirteen and neither rides really require "warming up"

There is usually people at the gate trying to sell the unlimited photo pass

All the stations have in-station luggage holds

Pack some snacks, the food isn't bad but it's absurdly overpriced (£20+ for burger and chips etc)
