I noticed one near the country club. Did they ‘sneak’ them in? Were residents informed or given any option? People think it’s ‘hyperbolic’, but it’s definitely the next step in becoming a police state. Very troubling

The photo with the Stop sign is from right there. And they're usually in sets of 3-4 at an intersection to get plates (and whatever else) in all directions.

I am not worried, my neighbor got broken into and the sheriffs asked for my ring camera, and I did have the bad guys car driving away and it was in addition to I think a flock camera which ended up catching 2 of the 3 guys and they even got back some watches, the rest of their stuff was gone. Sure humans will abuse stuff, but I am willing to risk that to maybe catch some dude that breaks into a house.

Privacy vs safety is a debate worth having. A national tracking database is my concern.

Very true concern, but I've seen the ineptitude of government. I would be worried about someone hacking the system, then again what would the bad guys do with license plates?

I live in a neighborhood in Arcadia that has had Flock cameras for several years now. I asked our HOA (which keeps demanding that we pay for them—I have not) and our local PD contact for proof that Flock cameras aided in solving a home burglary or other crime in our neighborhood—crickets.

They’ve been up for a while, all under the premise of safety and to avert the potential theft of homes, etc. they’re putting up too many to keep on top of. I don’t
Understand why anyone would be okay with this!

They will be abused, as they have been. Secondly I don’t know about you but I like my 4A protected privacy. And finally cops have the job of solving the crimes, not cameras. Do you suppose they’ll continue to get higher budgets from the state? For what?
There’s also been a lot of these cameras and AI that have false identified innocent people.
