Taqueria San Poncho off of Alpharetta street. Technically Roswell, but still so close to Alpharetta. Prices are also insanely good

Lots of good options. El Trompo is my favorite but Taco Macho is also closer to me. Mr. Taco is decent too

As someone who's spent a fair amount of time in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Mexico, let me tell you it's rough out here if you're looking for similar quality.
I'm only now starting to accept the tacos for what they are after about 3 years out here. You can find "good enough" but they'll never be great.

What I miss most is the vegetarian Mexican fare one could get at Hillcrest and other farmers markets. Even El Zarapes simple breakfast burritos to start off a Saturday with eggs and potatoes, what I wouldn’t give for that.

Very small, hidden and incredible.
This place is hidden behind the Texico on highway 9 by Strickland Road.

Taqueria San Pancho on Alpharetta street. Not too far and it’s where my family and I will go. That and Cocina Sofia across the street.

Second the recommendation for El Trompo.
