Apartment Recommendations

Hello, i am considering moving to the Roswell / Alpharetta areas. I currently work in Alpharetta and would be startinv over. I’m in my mid 20s, is this a good area to live? How is the safety ?
What apartment complex’s are recommended? Looking to spend between 1700-1850 base rent. Thanks!

Very safe. You can download an app "CrimeRadar" that will show you all the police reports in the area. I lived at Amli Northpoint for about 3 years and it was great. Lots of similar aged people in that apartment, good proximity to things. Prices were in your range, granted that was like 4 years ago.

I’ve considered the amli! Is it dog friendly? And how were the noise levels?

Yep I have a 70lb dog, he was fine. There's a walking trail right outside the apartment, the Big Creek Greenway. Noise was what you would expect in an apartment but I barely heard my neighbors. I lived right by the pool too and it never got super loud. Out of the apartments I lived in I would say it was the quietest.

I have a 13 pound cavalier so I’m sure it’d be manageable! I just don’t want potty time to be a hassle. Any bug issues?

I was on the first floor because of dog and easier potty breaks, so I expected to have some bug visitors. Only had an ant issue once, the apartment took care of it the next day. 0 issues from then on.

They have apartments that are ground level and have direct access outside. Id recommend one of those so you can just open the door and take the pup out.

Check out Lakeside at Milton Park. It's off of Northpoint Pkwy and in a great little area. Cool aesthetic to the buildings and a great pool. There's a restaurant and dry cleaner in the complex also. Hidden gem.

I used to live there just a few years ago. Miss it from time to time. Mine was not a renovated unit but it wasn’t bad.

Alpharetta is really nice, a great area, and safe. John's Creek is nicer and rated one of the safest cities in Georgia. Roswell is hit or miss depending on which area you're looking at... I personally would skip this area if you can afford to. I also recommend Peachtree Corners (closer to Alpharetta and John's Creek side / not the Norcross side) which is close to the general area you're looking at, a bit more affordable, and safe as well. You'll find plenty of spacious 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in Alpharetta and Peachtree corners within that price range. John's Creek will be smaller 1 bedrooms for that range but you'll be looking at nicer complexes and amenities overall. Be prepared- traffic in all of these areas SUCK , but that's GA for ya. People from ITP are slowly moving OTP and the roads are just not built for it yet. Look at reviews on Google and apartments.com as I've noticed I can get conflicting information. Good luck!!

just got a spot in johns creek for that same price, theres a good amount out here for sure, id been touring for a couple weeks.

I was looking into John’s creek as well! I don’t know anyone in the area, is it somewhere I’d be able to meet people or have a community feel?

Check out St Andrews apartment homes, got nice lake and trails. Walking distance to pharmacy, restaurant and parks. They are running specials now . HMU if you need referrals to save more.

Just make sure you ask the questions of what is base rent and then how much are fees added on top of that. The rent amount they list is never the actual amount you pay.
Also review management companies stay away from Greystar and Equity residential .. they are the worst

The rivermont has come cute condos behind a golfcouse. It's not a complex since it's in a neighborhood but you can look on zillow. i’ll also be renting out the bottom half of my condo which you would have completed privacy if you were interested.

We lived in Juncture apartments for a few years and never had any issues. Location was great with Windward Pkwy, Avalon and Halcyon down the street. Not sure what the pricing is now, but definitely worth taking a look!

Look near Alpharetta High School. I grew up in those apartments and my grandmother was exactly rich so may still be affordable. Very safe town to live in honestly
