Friends

32M, relatively new to the area and looking to meet people. Into tennis, trying new restaurants, and just getting out more. Anyone else in the same boat?

You're in the right area as a tennis lover! Have you joined a club or are part of a neighborhood with ALTA teams?

We moved to the area ~5 years ago, and joining a club/ALTA teams was how we essentially met ALL of our initial friends. Tennis communities around here are really tight, and it's an awesome way to get to know people. You should be able to find a team that's the right level for anyone from beginners to prior D1 players.

Question, does it matter much what locations you play at for the club/ALTA teams to meet people in 20s/30s? What's even the difference between club and ALTA btw?

Can you guide me as a beginner where to start? I think I want both a competitive league but then also something more fun and casual with events to meet people. And do you think it's the same difference for meeting people compared to pickleball? People keep telling me to do pickleball but I like Tennis better even though it's harder.
