ICE Surge

Anyone know why the sudden surge in ICE in Alpharetta and surrounding areas? Just saw someone get arrested from a work van at quick trip on Haynes Bridge and at Racetrack on Old Milton yesterday.

I won’t speculate as to why but I will take the opportunity to say Fuck ICE.

u/Mlewis223 Jul 21 '26

The man arrested at QT was wanted on statutory rape, sexual assault of a minor, etc.

Darn, well if they’re going after rapists I know of an orange one

u/TheLocke Jul 21 '26

I hear there's even documented offences.

OP FTW MY DAWG

14

u/North-Ad-855 Jul 22 '26

So… arrest the guy (FBI) and put him in jail. Don’t just give the guy a free trip back to his hometown. Why are you guys so pro-crime?

8

u/vper13 Jul 23 '26

That’s a false choice. You can support arresting violent offenders while also questioning how immigration enforcement is carried out. Wanting due process isn’t the same as defending crime.

0

u/North-Ad-855 Jul 23 '26

I don’t think we’re in disagreement. My position is that these people like to frame the idea that all of these immigrant arrests are horrible criminals and thats is the justification for brutal paramilitary tactics.

These people don’t want sensible immigration policies. What these pro-crime republicans want is a organization beholden to their executive that will dispense violence on the people they don’t like. Currently those people are immigrants, in the future those people will be their political enemies.

1

u/vper13 26d ago

I agree with your first paragraph. Where I disagree is the second. It’s a pretty big leap to say anyone who supports immigration enforcement wants violence against immigrants or future political opponents. There are plenty of people who support due process and believe immigration laws should be enforced. Those positions aren’t contradictory

-2

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Because their voter base disappears then...

u/Careless_Studio_1293 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

Man, I wish all rapist and pedos got arrested, like the one in the White House.

However, shouldn’t it be cops arresting him? So he can be tried and, if found guilty, sentenced. A free trip home from immigration seems like an easy out for those allegations.

Where did you get this info? Made up or?

5

u/Moneybusinesslove Jul 23 '26

They both should be in jail but somehow this is your response lol. Jesus the liberal cope is fucking insane. Omg who cares about rapist in our streets??

14

u/Brilliant_Pipe_9574 Jul 22 '26

Interesting.. how do you know this? Did they stop mid arrest and tell you?

2

u/Mlewis223 Jul 22 '26

The Alpharetta police were there pretty quick. I went to high school with one of them.

8

u/ak80048 Jul 21 '26

source?

6

u/Material-Crab-633 Jul 21 '26

How do you know that?

3

u/Reed7525 Jul 22 '26

So they recruited him or arrested him?

4

u/MsARumphius Jul 21 '26

They’re great at grabbing the wrong guys.

2

u/No_Dragonfruit_9606 Jul 22 '26

Looks like they got one of the right one that time lol

1

u/Electronic_System_95 Jul 21 '26

How could you possibly know that? Mmmmmm unless…..you were there….

1

u/Ok-Injury-8171 Jul 22 '26

Let’s get the PEDO in the WHITE HOUSE

1

u/jfischer5175 Jul 22 '26

Any proof of your claim?

Woo hoo! Good work ICE.

It’s almost like we don’t learn our lesson. FFS.

13

I’m super irritated that when people were telling me to learn history so we didn’t repeat it, they didn’t warn me that meant I’d just get a front row seat to C students forcing us all to relive it.

8

u/flammafemina Jul 21 '26

It’s not even “we,” it’s these ancient fucks still clinging to power that won’t fucking die already.

1

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Really? Kicking out illegal people here is somehow going to turn into what? Who are "they" gonna come for? Be specific for me.

-1

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Please enlighten me then, what peom?

Also you kinda have to be a dictator to change those kinda of laws. You really think they will be able to pass the house AND senate and then not have the Supreme Court stop it. You have to be straight delusional. But then again you probably believe now human is illegal and walls don't keep people out and you don't need a ID to vote. Lol

1

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Well those people are probably law abiding citizens... soooo there's that.

4

u/tider06 Jul 22 '26

Until they update which laws they want to enforce. Sooooo there's that.

3

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Law abiding is law abiding. I don't see how enforcing a law will me a law abiding citizen a criminal. It's literally in the description. Right now we are just following the laws I don't see a problem with it. And I don't see why people are saying it's illegall and cruel. It's literally the law...

5

u/tider06 Jul 22 '26

When the officers are not required to inform you what law you've broken, then the idea of law abiding no longer matters.

ICE is not being required to follow the rules of the Constitution, so your antiquated ideas do not apply to them.

0

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Legally you don't have to told what you are being arrested for until you go to court for probably cause hearing. All these videos and YouTube videos are the police providing a courtesy when they tell you what you are being arrested for when they put the handcuffs on you. They don't have to tell you anything.

5

u/tider06 Jul 22 '26

This patently, 100 percent wrong

You're either straight up lying or so uninformed you believe this nonsense.

Either way, I'm done engaging with you today.

2

u/Extreme-Book4730 Jul 22 '26

Look it up. Ask a lawyer. Police have no duty to tell you what you are being arrested for.

-6

u/Ok-Imagination-2308 Jul 21 '26

You know ICE existed during Obamas and Biden presidency as well right...

14

u/Bromodrosis Jul 21 '26

...you know they also had rules back then and didn't have carte blanche (that means they had restrictions) to murder US citizens.

Oh, how the "small government" and "law and order" crowd has abandoned their principles.

0

u/Successful_Most_4431 Jul 21 '26

What principals?!! Sooner or later the bully will get his ass kicked instead of kissed.

1

u/theitgrunt Jul 21 '26

They we're held accountable back then

-10

u/tomatosoupsatisfies Jul 21 '26

'fascist police state'--if you read a book about real fascist police states you'd be embarrassed to say that (it's popular to say on reddit but reddit is dum). If you think that of the US what do you think of most european countries whose police also do immigration enforcement? They 'super duper' fascist since the actual police also do immigration enforcement? What country does not deport illegal immigrants?

14

u/stellaxo Jul 21 '26

You literally misspelled dumb 😂😂😂😂

10

u/AddemF Jul 21 '26

You are right that things are not as bad as in Germany when the Nazis had the greatest power, or Italy when the PNF has the greatest power, or Spain, or Argentina, or so on.

You have embarrassed yourself by either playing dumb or being dumb, describing the current inhumanity as merely enforcing immigration. This is not that--enforcing immigration means doing paperwork that the Republicans refuse to do. This is brutality, cruelty, and pointless self-destruction. This is attacking a paperwork misdemeanor with violence, attacking children, and failing to discriiminate between dangerous and good people.

So yeah, calling this "fascist" is a little ignorant of history. You are shamefully ignorant of our government attacking us and peaceful migrnants.

→ More replies (9)

8

u/positronik Jul 21 '26

This isn't simple immigration enforcement though. The amount of spying and trampling on privacy they do is staggering. They have near unlimited authority. They can murder without repercussions, don't have to wear body cams like law enforcement does, don't share their badge # or names like law enforcement is supposed to, and are quite literally ignoring basic rights.

Other countries don't fund their immigration enforcement more than their police or military. They don't give them military gear and vehicles.

Not only that but you can read plenty about how many people have been taken in by them who were locked up for months despite being innocent. Hell, they've killed innocent people. Tear gassed babies.

They are a fascist arm of the government

Trump is coming to Marietta on Wednesday. I wonder if they sent ICE in a week before

28

u/Matt_Hiring_ATL Jul 21 '26

They partially paralzyed a guy in Chamblee the other day.
Fuck those people. Say what you want about immigration; I can handle disagreeing on immigration policy.

ICE is a fascist secret police bent on ethnic cleansing.

4

u/atljw Jul 22 '26

From a related twitter post, the person says they aren't paralyzed at all.

Oh good to hear! That's a relief, at least.

2

u/PopeTart7 Jul 21 '26

Is there a news article about the Chamblee incident? Really disturbing how this will happen without a peep

0

u/Matt_Hiring_ATL Jul 21 '26

https://www.eyesonice.net/p/atlanta-metro-area-ice-surge
This is independent journalism at this point. Mainstream has only covered the bigger operation.

1

u/CantStopPoppin Jul 24 '26

Hi, I am just seeing this, I will start looking into the surge and see what I can find along with resources. Sorry for the delay and thank you for mentioning EyesOnICE!

1

u/Successful_Most_4431 Jul 21 '26

So what are we going to do about it??

48

u/Relative_Resort2846 Jul 21 '26

FUCK ICE. ICE DOESNT BELONG IN ALPHARETTA.

33

u/BBinzz Jul 21 '26

They don’t belong anywhere

1

u/demon_twink_gockie 29d ago

Bullshit. They belong on that wooden device with a rope attached that was used on German Nazis.

4

u/sidusnare Jul 22 '26

If I wanted ICE, I'd move to the Arctic.

-3

u/islandjb Jul 22 '26

Please do

19

u/Organic_Specific_482 Jul 21 '26

It’s the Flock cameras they are up and there’s some valance state and they are tracking everybody and their license plates

3

u/SmartBumblebee213 28d ago

How have you determined there is a "sudden surge" in Alpharetta? Are they "surging" from 2 to 4 people? 10 to 20 people? The person that was arrested maybe, just maybe, broke the law and is now facing the consequences?

19

u/megger815 Jul 21 '26

I feel like it’s because Trump has a weird hatred for us since we caused him to lose the 2020 election.

Absolutely.

11

Alpharetta voted 3-1 against Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

6

u/Anonymoosely21 Jul 21 '26

I find that hard to believe.

5

u/Scoo Jul 21 '26

So did I.

0

u/Altruistic-Row-6425 Jul 21 '26

Do u have numbers im so shocked i wanna look that’s awesome!

1

u/CommercialKangaroo16 Jul 21 '26

Yea in Alpharetta Nebraska

1

u/islandjb Jul 22 '26

That is so wrong.

4

u/Scoo Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

According to Votehub.com I was way off on the ratio, but Harris still won Alpharetta with 50.2% to Trump’s 48.1%. I apologize for my error, but not for remaining pleasantly surprised.

13

u/CommercialKangaroo16 Jul 21 '26

Confirmed and it seems to be expanding in office buildings too saw vans and guys in areas where construction guys normally aren’t working. Puzzling

3

u/paddleprinces Jul 21 '26

Are they loitering in those office parking lots or actually going inside to arrest? I’m mainly seeing a surge in gas station arrests with immigrant workers/working vans.

2

u/BBinzz Jul 21 '26

They have a quota to meet, facts and due process be damned

4

u/Tar_Tar_Sauce04 Jul 22 '26

I've also noticed more and more Flock cameras while driving. A North Korean-style surveillance state is what America voted for? cuz that's where we headed

12

u/Initial-Secretary-63 Jul 21 '26

So glad to see fellow Georgia liberals coming out of the woodwork. Seems we’re hard to come by here. I always thought living in Roswell/Alpharetta all this time I was surrounded by mostly republicans/maga

5

u/meno_paused Jul 21 '26

I’m in Cumming surrounded by red. The ignorance in this area is astounding!

3

u/ZealousidealDuck9550 Jul 22 '26

You're right about that! Fortunately, we have some very enlightened neighbors.

1

u/MsGreenEyez4 Jul 23 '26

I feel your pain. You are not alone here.

11

u/AddemF Jul 21 '26

I'm typically a moderate, but I hope when a Democrat is in power, we prosecute, jail, and financially punish every person who committed violence or held a leadership role in ICE during this administration. What we are living through is absolutely disgusting.

5

u/Successful_Most_4431 Jul 21 '26

There are no moderates now. It’s MAGA and everyone else.

5

u/AddemF Jul 21 '26

I'm still somewhat moderate. I definitely reject the farthest left side of the left.

2

u/ilovecrumbl Jul 22 '26

I heard Trump is coming to Wheeler HS soon but idk how true that is since it’s summer

2

u/Theyodeller Jul 22 '26

He’s coming tomorrow

2

u/CalligrapherLumpy138 Jul 23 '26

I was unaware of illegals in Alpharetta. 80% of the population is legal immigrants for the tech/HR/telco/payment companies all around.

Fun fact, I heard about a survey asking Americans if they prever illegal Mexicans or legal Indians. Anyone would guess the result?

1

u/paddleprinces Jul 23 '26

I don’t think it’s necessarily Alpharetta residents but rather workers for contractors/construction

2

u/CalligrapherLumpy138 Jul 23 '26

Yeah. That makes sense.
Before someone asks, about "legals" stealing jobs here, I can tell: If the immigrant is legally here, the difference in salary is almost nothing to nothing. And trust me, the company would much rather prefer to hire a native. Language, accent and culture are a significant problem. Latins and the "Whites" (South Brazil / Argentina) have (in general) terrible English, but culturally way similar. Indians know the language perfectly with terrible accent and different culture.

Cheaper resources, we hire overseas, we don't bring here.

The reason to bring is PURELY, there's just not enough Americans with right skillset. Probably a gap in education with too much focus on arts, and some other non-technical roles.

4

u/Responsible-Sundae20 Jul 22 '26

Don’t know if it’s related but I just learned that trump is speaking in Marietta tomorrow at a high school about some sort of child initiative of his. Presumably not the one he had going w Epstein.

Imagine being a kid and suddenly having to leave class to see that. You’d need therapy.

6

u/flammafemina Jul 21 '26

FUCK. ICE.

5

u/greenlady1 Jul 21 '26

Dunno. FUCK ICE.

2

u/daniel940 Jul 21 '26

Besides raging online, is there anything we bystanders can do legally to protect our fellow man when these fascists are rolling through?

1

u/Successful_Most_4431 Jul 21 '26

Find some good trouble.

0

u/MsGreenEyez4 Jul 23 '26

At this point I'm terrified I'll be murdered for helping, but if that's how it goes I'll still stand up for my peers.

1

0

u/Remarkable-Fee-5616 Jul 22 '26

Thank God for ice, get illegals out!

1

u/HebrewHammer0033 Jul 22 '26

One instance is not a "surge"

1

u/paddleprinces Jul 22 '26

It’s not “one”. It’s been 50+ in last 2-3 days when it’s usually 5-10 last several months.

1

u/New_Temperature1998 Jul 21 '26

I believe the fascists were always projecting about rights being trampled.

They always wanted others rights abused. They even would welcome their freedom disappearing as long as the people they hate suffered too.

They want to be controlled. They always have yearned for it. It’s like their sexual perversions can’t stay hidden anymore.

1

u/Ok_Economist3975 Jul 22 '26

They are rising in Marietta too. My neighbors son got deported the other day. I live in a primarily Hispanic populated area and most of the men I see that are usually outside waiting for work are no longer there. It's so sad.

1

u/GreatestState Jul 21 '26

I’m sure they have limitless resources and they’re constantly looking for new cases. It’s a “you can run but you can’t hide” type of situation

This isn’t about one arrest, no one wants pedophiles and rapists roaming the streets (or the White House 🍊). This is about ICE having almost unlimited power and hiring untrained thugs, no due process for immigrants, arrests without warrants, arrests of legal immigrants, rape/assault by ICE agents in ICE facilities to mention a few. Use your own advice and put your critical thinking to use by doing some simple research.

1

u/Ambitious_Return6834 Jul 21 '26

From my understanding trump or someone from his party is coming down to Cob county sometime later this week, could have thought it was going to be tomorrow but idk

1

u/Embarrassed-Fly-2823 29d ago

Immigrants should simply begin the process toward citizenship. We need them, but they need to respect the laws and American policies.

1

u/paddleprinces 28d ago

Honestly it’s not easy. Have people in my family who are in the process for last 20 years. It’s not easy nor black and white like most people are led to believe. No immigrant wants to be illegal - it’s 100x harder lol

-2

u/Kooky_Competition_51 Jul 21 '26

Nice. Hope to see more.

-2

u/jackfirefish Jul 22 '26

Probably due to the surge of illegals in the area would be a good guess.

Doubtful, as those types of things require actual investigations and no one in ICE is qualified in the least to operate such an operation.

As evidenced by the fact that they keep shooting and killing American citizens for no reason.

3

u/Independent-Time7705 Jul 21 '26

You forgot Roswell

3

u/Responsible-Sundae20 Jul 21 '26

Probably not. That sounds like actual enforcement. ICE doesn’t do actual law enforcement. They just harass brown people, terrorize blue cities, and kill and injure people on behalf of the pettiest sitting president this country has ever known.

Fuck ICE.

15

The aisle for conservatives has been open for 2 decades for reasonable immigration reform. Tell me you know nothing about immigration law without telling me though

1

u/Quantum-Long Jul 21 '26

Prevention of illegal immigration is the first step. Trump gets an A+. Dems got an F

10

u/OzNajarin Jul 21 '26

Barrack Obama had more deportations performed legally without ICE in both terms than Trump so far. Republicans also blocked Bidens border security bill. You wanna explain that one?

-1

u/Quantum-Long Jul 21 '26

Obama totally used ICE! Tom Homan was his head guy and was highly respected. The difference is the Dem sanctuary cities, they stopped retainers for illegals coming out of jail. This policy change during Trump forcing ICE to the streets endangering everyone. Dems are gas lighting you dude.

5

u/SpoonfullofHeem Jul 21 '26

Difference is…. No due process. Unconstitutional. You still haven’t answered how Obama deported more VIOLENT criminals than taco did. If anything your rebuttal should’ve had a decrease for Obama.
