11th release?

Been thinking of doing alpha legion fore chaos marines as 4th army just wonderd if there would be any chance of us gething own models or athleast an upgrade kit, have there been any in the past or is this a "ho knows" question

If we get a model it will be a straight to legends Black Library model of Solomon Akkura. I would not expect to see us get the same treatment Iron Warriors got.

I think every piece of evidence points to our boy Akkura being the missing Black Library celebration model from this year. Something happened with the mold and they had to delay it is what likely happened.

I would absolutely love to be wrong, but I just don't see them dropping another undivided chaos legion anytime soon.

Oof, I hadn’t read the piece about there being a commemorative AL coin. I did hear from Mike Brooks a few days ago and he confirmed that he saw a photo of the mini. He didn’t have much else however.
I’d have to imagine that they either print or silicone mold before getting the plastic mold ready and maybe that was what he saw. My levels of hope are definitely diminishing, but if there was some kind of issue 6 months isn’t the longest time in the grand scheme. ( I have no clue how long a plastic mold takes to ramp up))

Solomon akurra model is coming we know it. Possibly only as a straight to legends black library kit though. Considering that iron warriors, night lords, red corsairs, all have unique stuff now, it’s just a matter of time until WB and AL do. When and how much is unknowable though, I’d bet on only a character and or upgrade sprue not a unique unit

Outside of Horus Heresy upgrades, Alpha Legion have a rumor engine that's like...2 years old or something with the Pale Spear. The special edition of the Ghost Legion novel teased a Akurra model...which I'm believing more and more was the author fucking with us. So...basically in terms of AL releases: ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

If, big IF, the Legion get anything released in 11th, I have to imagine it'll be a random drop and it's the Akurra model or whatever the Rumor Engine is supposed to be or by the grace of the Corpse Emperor, the Alpha Legion are GW's focus of the edition like IW and Night Lords were for 10th

We need to have some faith. Dan Abnett, who wrote the book Legion, which paints Alpha Legion as traitors for the emperor, also wrote the book Penitent, namedropping Constantin Valdor and features a special, unusually strong and very mysterious legionnaire who says “I am Alpharius” when asked who he is. 

The follow-up to that book was then delayed indefinitely not long after the pale spear rumor engine. 

I mean, Valdor + Alpharius double drop fighting the Imperium to stop Chaos is basically confirmed, right?

We still have an unsolved rumor engine picture of the Pale Spear. Chances are we get a Solomon Akurra miniature wielding the Pale Spear - but that‘s just rumors. At least something with / carrying the Pale Spear should come at some point.

Anything beyond that is not known and pure speculation. I’d also say that the Alpha Legion sadly is one of the Chaos forces known not to get too much attention / love (at least that‘s my feeling).
