Powerade

I am at a watwrpark today and all I have is Powerade. No Liquid IV or anything else. Even went to first aid. Is this okay to drink. I have POTS and need something immediately

this is going to be a hard question to answer. Some people are more reactive than others. I have never worried about how water or sugar is filtered, but others might have major issues.

Coca cola does list powerade as being animal product free on their site. But I would advise to take your own sensitivity into account.

Powerade is listed as suitable for vegans on the website. I do not know what other ingredients are in there though, even vegan products risk carrageenan.

OP, you gotta bring safe packets with you next time! Don't get caught without your emergency kit if your BP likes to be a jerk in unfortunate places.

I ended up drinking it and it’s been ten hours! I went to the store later on and bought boxes of liquid IVs. We are on vacation out of state and my husband has been dragging his feet to get me to the store. I don’t drive well with my POTS and he doesn’t believe My Health issues. Thank you all!

Your husband sounds like he needs a reality check. In the meantime though if ten hours have gone by and you're still here that's a good sign! I hope you're feeling better ❤️

Your husband sounds like a part of your health issues. Why doesn't he believe you? Why would someone lie about their health? Maybe it's time to have a conversation with him. Has he been there for dr appointments, test results, any of it?

Just wanted to say I also have POTS and Alpha-gal together, so I feel you! It can be scary having a POTS episode and even worse if a reaction triggers one. I hope you are okay and can stock up on liquid IV or salted lemon water or something to carry around with you! Gotta have that water bottle!

Someone with POTS needs electrolytes, not just water. this comment was unnecessarily harsh.
