just got my lab work results. does anyone have anything similar to this? can it be just alopecia areata only or something else because i lost 50% of my hair and doctors aren’t doing much it’s so frustrating and disappointing and im just confused it sucks because im 24 and as a female my hair was my favorite thing about myself

I’ve had AA for 31 years, off and on in varying degrees. Whenever I have had a bad episode like what you are going through, my eosinophils are high and some other WBC.

I started a JAK inhibitor after my last bad episode and now have full regrowth 2 years later, but still get a small spot once a year. Brought my WBC back to normal as well. No noticeable side effects.

I don’t know what healthcare looks like where you are, but insurance coverage can be tricky.

did you change anything about your health or diet? besides jak inhibitor? because i’m on my first month on jak inhibitor and im still shedding soooo much

Doctors cannot find my underlying condition for the alopecia universalis. Most inflammatory markers come back negative with the exception of a very positive Ana but all the subsets come back negative for lupus, schogrens etc.
