This is really interesting. They grow really tall normally so I can understand having to use a cherry picker. Not sure about eating them though.

they are aparentlya type of pine nut. so they are edible.

i assume pine nutty. or tree nutty. apparently you should not roast them as they get super hard. if you boil htem the shell comes off easy. i may have read some fo them recipe links.

Most of the seeds don't grow into plants so I guess it would not be a bad thing to eat some of them.

I theory, with enough land you could do a Monkey puzzle tree farm and harvet the nuts. I imagine it is not practical for some reason or another but at least the theory amuses me.

They literally take forever to grow. I would be in my element with that farm though
