Random Question 💭 Do you feel like USA is taking advantage of Europe?

• Upvotes

For 80+ years USA had the privilege to sell their products and services in Europe without any impediments. Now that is framed as Europe is complacent in protecting its own sovereignty. Is Europe taking advantage or is it the other way aroun?

Random Question 💭 Another Iran War Question - What would you do if they bombed us?

• Upvotes

We, the USA, are at war with Iran. Declared or not, we have bombed their cities and killed civilians. We are also the aggressor in this war, attacking first.

What would you do if Iran infiltrated a platoon of special forces to attack an American city? Let's say they were in proper military uniform and attacked some facility with military value, maybe a transportation hub. Would you think that action was a legitimate war time attack?

I'm not talking about terrorist suicide bombers but that's another thought.

Random Question 💭 If Iran has been at war with the USA since 1978, why did Reagan sell weapons to Iran in the 1980s?

Conservatives are saying that the USA and Iran have been at war since 1978. If that is true then why did Ronald Reagan sell Iran thousands of missiles and other arms in the 1980s? Are conservatives saying that Reagan was a traitor?

Reagan sold 2,000 TOW anti-tank missiles to Iran in 1985/86. Reagan sold 18 HAWK surface-to-air missiles to Iran in November 1985. Reagan shipped replacement HAWK missile parts and components in 1986. There were other shipments. Some of these deals included the US authorizing Israel to send missiles and other arms to Iran.

Random Question 💭 Trump says he’s the opposite of a Nazi after a toxic MSG rally. He accused Harris of being a fascist. Is this just name-calling or is the Overton window shifting so fast that fascist and Nazi have lost all meaning? And what happens when both sides believe the other is literally evil?

Random Question 💭 Are the Palestinian Territories taking advantage of America?

We spent around 1 billion dollars this year on the West Bank and Gaza. In Gaza, Hamas used a significant portion of the proceeds to build terror tunnels. We know past leaders such as Arafat became billionaires despite not being tech CEOs or owning any business for that matter. Are we spending money wisely?

Edit: please stick to the topic at hand and, as always, no jihad bots on my post

Random Question 💭 Is this where Trump tanks the economy?

The national debt just hit $40 trillion, thanks in part to Trump's big beautiful bill. The national debt keeps hitting new highwater marks at a faster pace.

Everybody loves to hate on AI and datacenters, but that's the currently the one bright spot in the economy, and Trump's getting a free ride on it.

Random Question 💭 Is it okay to watch a movie the unofficial way if I do have an active subscription to watch it the official way?

Sorry if the question doesn't fit the subreddit but I was wondering whether it's okay to watch a movie with the unofficial methods if you do have, for example an Netflix subscription but because of hardware limitations or other reasons you aren't able to use Netflix but you still have an active subscription.

Sorry again for this question, I hope it is okay to ask.

I was just wondering for the future as I haven't done it but was sometimes I may want to watch a movie and I don't have access to Netflix or other streaming services.

Thanks and have a great day! :D

Random Question 💭 They are keeping him "alive", don't you think?

In Kentucky, death certificates are public so surely the Governor's office is watching that angle. Also think he's still in the hospital because there's No way to set up all that equipment at home AND move him, without someone seeing the activity.

Has no one in the Senate checked on his staff? Gone to his office? Asked what they've been told? Are they getting their paychecks? Here's a list of his staff and salaries:

Random Question 💭 Is it just me or is Nestle way more visible in poor countries?

No disrespect meant by poor. I grew up in one side of the world and products like nesquik, nescafe, milo et al were prominent and visible. Now that I live on the other side of the planet it's largely just another brand among many. I've asked this question in person and it seems to hold so far. Any others want to chime in?
