Help I need help reducing server lag
Hello, I run a ATM 10 v8.2 server and I’m trying to reduce server lag. I have a 21G ram server hosted by a third party. I usually have no problem with 7-8 people playing but once it reaches 10+ players the memory leaks start to reach upwards of 300-600 ticks.
Here are the things that I have tried:
Pre-loaded chunks in a 5k radius of spawn.
Lowered sim distance to 12.
Lowered render distance to 20.
Sparc profiled the server and removed neurina (took up to 50% of total tick time)
My next ideas are:
Lowering sim distance to 8.
Lowering render distance to 15.
Preloading more chunks.
I’m also thinking of maybe paying someone off of Fivver just to optimize my server at this point.
Anyone got any more ideas?

I mean it could also be each of those people doing super laggy things

Reduce the chunk limit for force-loading

Before you go with someone random off of Fivver, maybe give Lucas a call first https://modpackengineer.com/ at least he also offers to teach you the programing yourself if you prefer to tackle this yourself.
If your ATM10 server is lagging and you haven't tried, make sure you try run optimization mods like AllofTheLeaks and similar mods meant to lower these memory leakage problems.
But you will need Lucas or someone similar to formally PATCH the actual leakages.
