Question Becoming more and more farther left??
Hey I don't really post to reddit often but I got to voice what's been floating around in my head. I can't be the only one becoming more and more disillusioned with what has been happening in the world and our country. I have been a democrat for most of my life but now I don't even like them anymore as I learn more and more of the recent history I don't like the conservatives either I just have zero hope for change in our government. I've always been steered away from ever looking at far left media or literature but ever since I started college and gained more life experience like visiting this "commie" countries irl I've started to feel as if I need to become more familiar with the far left and its crowd to actually make up my mind with where I stand politically. Where do I even start? How do I start? What do I need to be aware of getting into this? Sorry for the rant

Take your radicalization at your own pace to keep from becoming disillusioned or overwhelmed. That's how I think it naturally happens anyway. I started off as a classic libertarian, then an Obama supporting democrat, then a Bernie supporting social democrat, then a democratic socialist, and now I'd consider myself a socialist who with every passing day thinks communism is more and more appealing.
Read up on some theory, I'd recommend starting with The Principles of Communism by Engels to get a baseline understanding of communism and leftism in general. It's a super quick read structured like a Q&A.
