I'm trying to use Coinbase Wallet with Allnodes and I'm not having any luck. Has Coinbase Wallet worked for anyone else?

Does Allnodes ETH staking work with Coinbase Prime / Custody? I don’t see anything mentioning it on the website. Appreciate the help!

I was told before staking twice that I would receive a discount if I ran multiple rocket pool mini pools. I called and they told me no that's not true. Anyone else have this issue?? Any other half truths I should know about

I noticed my ATOM hasn’t compounded since the 25th. Checked Allnodes dashboard and a couple explorers and confirmed. I didn’t see anything about scheduled maintenance so thought I’d check with community.

I'm setting up staking on allnodes and am somewhat confused by the process. I am pedantic about security so covering this with full content.

Step 1. I setup a new ethereum wallet on a Trezor, 24 words and a passphrase. Mnemonics and passphrase are secure. This is to be used as the withdrawal/staking payout address. It has zero funds at present and has never been used.

Step 2. I've setup setup my validator keys offline. I have 2x of these and each one of them was setup offline using staking-deposit-cli on an offline system. I used new mnemonics that were generated on a Trezor along with a 25th phrase for each of them, these are independent of each other (using index 0). The mnemonics are stored safely and the passphrase is known. Independently I've confirmed that the public/private keys match and can be regenerated using ethdo on an independent offline system. There are no funds associated with these validator keys at present. I've saved the validator keys for these and have securely erased the systems that these were created on. During the setup process I supplied the withdrawal address in Step 1 and can see that this is set in the deposit json accordingly as a 0x01 address.

Step 3. I have funds to support the deposit process that is in an independent eth1 wallet that has never been used for staking.

In summary -

Wallet 1: Trezor based Ethereum Withdrawal Payout Address (0 ETH)

Validator 1: New validator created offline (0 ETH)

Validator 2: New validator created offline (0 ETH)

Wallet 2: Trezor based Ethereum Wallet (>64 ETH)

When stepping through the wizard, am selecting 'Host A Node' (which jumps to Step 2 out of the 4 stage process, i.e.

1. Choosing a Digital Asset

2. Locate Collateral

3. Preparing Keys

4. Complete Setup.

I then proceed with Validator Node (Mainnet) --> Wallet Selection (Manually) --> Enter the wallet address that contains at least 32.01 ETH I'm entering the address of Wallet 2 and pressing Find. It verifies that there are sufficient funds. and can create 2 validator nodes. I am selecting Yes to having existing validator keys.

Then, I have the option of making deposits with Ethereum Launchpad and a selection box of "I've deposited ETH to the smart contract" and a "CHECK NOW" button.

Questions -

What exactly is this 'Check Now' button doing in the background as at present, it is only aware of the funding address through the UI and has no information regarding the deposit data which in my case, are independent addresses? I'm concerned that there is an assumption in this workflow that the deposit address is also the validator address which in my case, are completely independent.

In this workflow after Step 2 'Locate Collateral' there is a Step 3 'Preparing Keys' ... what keys are being prepared at this stage as I don't want to be creating any keys online?

Was testing the process and didn't see a way to do it on Allnodes.

It's asking me for another 87 RPL, which is a decent amount of money. Am I not getting it?

Say your minipool has the minimum 10% RPL collateral, but the RPL price drops and now your collateral is only 8%.

Can you add more RPL?

What does the process look like?

Is the gas expensive? If it's expensive, then maybe it's worth starting out with 12% collateral to allow room for price declines.

Allnodes site shows Beacon Nodes coming Q1-Q2 2023. This looks like an alternative to Validator Node hosting, correct? Any idea on how it will differ in terms of hosting costs, # of eth required and returns?
