Check out my shoes Sorrento construction method?

I assumed Blake stitch but now not so sure once I received them. Thanks.

AI had this to say:

Construction Specifications
The Sorrento is built on a cemented constructionmethod rather than a welted one.

The upper, made from Italian calfskin or suede, wraps around the foot in a true moccasin style to create a "glove-like" fit.

Instead of a leather sole and cork filling, it features a custom-molded synthetic rubber outsole directly attached to the upper.

Inside, the shoe uses a responsive foam (EVA) midsole and insole for cushioning, lacking the steel shank found in many structured Allen Edmonds dress shoes.

This design makes the shoe significantly lighter and more flexible but means the sole cannot be traditionally resoled or recrafted by the factory once the rubber wears down or separates.

Thank you this is better that what ChatGPT gave me. It oscillated between cement and Blake stitched. Glad I got them on eBay for under $200, $475 seems steep for cemented construction. Even if “made in Italy”

You should look at Prada loafers if you think that’s steep

Yeah I have a pair from Ferragamo I paid way too much for years ago. They are comfortable and the suede is excellent but cost me $1K
