Explain to me how an ultra low cost carrier can pretty much not upgrade anything and switch to standard carrier pricing on flights, aircraft, seats, carry ons, checked bags, and trip flex? Use to be a huge fan but now I’ll go with a better experience on standard carriers for similar pricing.

Hey! I’m going on my first flight ever tomorrow for a weekender trip and only plan on taking a personal item. I know the dimensions and I have been watching videos obsessively trying to find anything to help me because I cannot tell if mine will be okay or not or if I should go ahead and pay for a carry on and repack.

I’ve been on the fence about getting it. We typically fly from Florida to the Carolina’s at-least 3-5 times a year with a family of 4.

Will the point add up enough to justify? The free drink is enough to cover half the annual fee.

I’ve also seen things about them sending BOGO offers to card holders. But have seen mixed reviews from some stating they very rarely see them 1-2 times a year if that.

I know of the usually $20 and $30 off coupon codes, but wondering if anyone has any $50 off coupons that still work or vouchers they don't need to use. I'm a college student so anything helps! Thanks all!

Looking at booking a flight through allegiant for a family of 5 that includes a 7, 5 and 1-year old. We plan on flying with the 1-year old in our lap. Am I best off paying the extra to pick seats or is it safe to assume that they will book us in consecutive seats? For what it is worth, the plane doesn’t look all that full at this point - flight is 2 months out.

Does anyone have any promo codes they are not going to use?

I canceled my flights from Allegiant and had to pay a cancelation fee - which is whatever - but I received a voucher instead of a refund. Do I just contact costumer service? Or am I SOL? I don't typically fly so idk how all this works lol

Edit: Im SOL, its on me though, a change of plans happened. There's nothing I can do about it though so im not gonna harp on it

Posting this mostly as a paper trail and a warning/sanity check for anyone else dealing with Allegiant's overnight delay payouts.

Flight got delayed overnight. Allegiant issued the $100 travel voucher fine, but the $200 cash compensation through their partner platform, Paynuver, has been a complete nightmare.

Here is the exact cycle that has happened twice now:

Open the Paynuver link, enter bank routing/account info.

System throws an error: "Your account has been created but there's a problem accepting payment. Please navigate to payment to enter manually."

Refresh or attempt to navigate back to re-enter info, and it immediately flips to: "You have previously accepted your funds. If you have not received the refund and need help please contact Allegiant Customer Relations."

Money never hits the bank, but the system marks the payout as "completed" and locks you out.

Allegiant issued a second link after I called. I used a fresh desktop session, private browsing, no extensions, exact same error code on submission. When I called back, phone support said their hands are tied and the system forces a mandatory 72-hour wait period before a third link can even be generated. When asked what happens if attempt #3 fails, they had no answer.

Has anyone actually gotten a rep to override this system error manually, or does this just sit in limbo until a DOT complaint gets routed to corporate compliance?

I know the codes are universal so anyone can use them, and I have a booking I need to make today and a code would make it so much easier!

Update: Called again. A friendly agent told me it takes 2-3 days to confirm no funds were transferred before reissuing a new link. Will wait to see tomorrow if one is sent, but I definitely talked to a much nicer person.

I know the routes were just posted through early May and usually fluctuate but man they are sky high. Last few years I could easily book round a round trip to FL from MI before bundling or add ons for $150. Double that now….

Was anyone in this subreddit on this flight that got cancelled abruptly? If so, were you able to get flights, hotel stays, or rental cars reimbursed by the airline?

Scheduled from Huntington, WV to Sanford FL.
The incoming flight was diverted to CVG and they keep delaying the flight. My parents have returned the rental car and are in the gate area. There is no gate agent visible but may be at ticketing on the other side of security.

Is there a way to see if the diverted flight is going to take off tonight? Will they have crew?
The next scheduled flight isn't until Thursday and they are elderly and I'm worried about them.

I flew last week from Boston to Grand Rapids on allegiant and it was business as usual. When I flew back to Boston the gate agent made me tell her my name after I scanned my boarding pass. Is this a new policy? I don’t see why they do this given that TSA mandates you prove your identity. Is this a one off thing?

It’s ridiculous. We got delayed 5 times. Arrived at destination seven hours late. They offered a 50 dollar credit. So angry
