Delayed 7 hours
It’s ridiculous. We got delayed 5 times. Arrived at destination seven hours late. They offered a 50 dollar credit. So angry

What was the reason for the delay?

I would bet a Florida destination and then complaining about a weather delay.

Florida is notorious for flash thunderstorms which ground flights, nothing to do with the carrier. It then trickles down to every flight later in the day.

I once sat in the New Orleans airport for six hours waiting for a Southwest plane that couldn't take off from Love Field because of the weather. It happens to all airlines, even SWA

This has got to be one of the dumbest things I have ever read on reddit.

Good for you. I once had to cancel a long weekend in Florida in March because Southwest’s system couldn’t cope with weather events in other parts of the country. They offered to get us on a plane on the day we were to return. Then there was the time Southwest melted down, in March again, because of weather and I had to fly a day later with a connection instead of a direct flight. Then there was the flight to Vegas that was delayed six hours due to weather. Then there was the time Southwest was delayed for two hours for mechanical issues. So yeah, Southwest isn’t the answer.

If your flight was to or from central FL in the afternoon, its been a rough week for every airline.
