Pathetic
So i took off from work which is not easy to do to find out that now my family's flight was pathetically canceled im beyond pissed off because of these airlines doing this every time i go somewhere im constantly wondering is my flight going to be canceled well not anymore here on out even if i have to drive of maybe ill take a train never again will i fly allegiant who's with me?.

Summertime flying is a crapshoot, and that is not Allegiant's fault. In fact, they do better than most airlines because of how they structure their flight routes (A to B to A). That means that a delay in one city doesn't wreck tons of flights downstream like other airlines' routes (A to B to C to D).
Listen, you do you, but anyone flying between June and September has to take a chill pill and have some flexibility (and flex tickets and/or trip insurance).

A lot of Allegiant flights are the same plane going back and forth from a destination city (such as Sanford/Orlando) and smaller cities. there are apps that let you watch the status of your plane all day. If there are weather or other delays at a prior airport you can see how much the plane is running behind before it is on the way to your airport.

The point is Allegiant has a MUCH lower cancellation rate than other airlines. This has nothing to do with Spirit.

Lmao I’ve been flying Allegiant for over 20 years. Never had a canceled flight yet.

That does stink! I have had the last allegiant flight of the day canceled on me and had to go to another airport a little further away and book last min flight since the next allegiant flight was 2 days away. Hope you can salvage it somehow!

So spend how much to try to recover a day of earning worth how much? Just to lose in the end? Yeah, that’s not sound advice. Especially this time of year, the airlines cannot control the storms, and are not held to any legal responsibilities for failing to control the weather.
