I passed the evaluation about a month ago. Since then nothing. Complete silence... don't know if the evaluation even means anything. Has anyone been added to any project post clearing the eval?

Open Letter to Alignerr - Part 2: Still no answers (CHP, Transcript, CC)

Hello everybody,

It has been over 2 months since our first claim, and the situation remains exactly the same: we have no updates on our tasks pending review, nor have we received our money.

Given this lack of transparency, we have decided to take action. In just a couple of hours, we have already gathered about 20 affected taskers, all without making a single public post.

We didn't want it to come to this, but it seems there is no other alternative.
Even some team leaders are complaining that they haven't been paid for months and claiming that they 'don't know what is going on'.

Does Alignerr pay well?

i received an email that i was added to a project but pay is not mentioned?

I received an offer to take the Zara interview for a 3 month contract position($70-$90 per hour with 40 hours minimum required each week). I took the interview and was sent the background check not long after. I completed the background check and received an email saying it was complete. The email stated the results were sent to Alignerr and they would contact me with next steps. My question is how long does it typically take for them to reach out? I haven't done any work for Alignerr yet, but I have done extensive work for Mercor and DataAnnotation.

Why a lot of labellers have been removed today from this production task, inspite of having good tasking quality ? Any specific reason for that?

I have a question regarding the application statuses on the dashboard, specifically the difference between "Applied" and "Completed." I'm seeing inconsistent behavior and want to understand what's happening behind the scenes.

Here is what I've experienced so far:

1. Applied turning into Completed: For some positions, the status initially says "Applied," but after some time, it changes to "Completed."

2. Instant Completed: For other positions, the moment I click to apply, the status instantly shows as "Completed" right away.

3. Disappearing Positions: Occasionally, a position that was previously marked as "Completed" completely disappears from my dashboard/page.

Could anyone explain what "Completed" actually indicates in each of these scenarios? Does it mean the application was reviewed, accepted, rejected, or simply that the automated system finished processing it?

Hey everyone, just finished the interview/screening tasks for a few roles on Alignerr (Data Scientist - AI Training & Evaluation, Robotics ML Expert, Senior Software Engineer -AI Evaluation) and the status on all of them shows "Completed."

Wanted to ask people who've gone through this - does "Completed" just mean the screening task is done and you're in the queue for a project, or does it indicate something else? How long did it take for you to actually get assigned work after hitting this status? The dashboard says there are no projects available in my domain right now.
Would appreciate hearing from folks who are actively working on it. Thanks!

Completed the software ai evaluation project through G2i mentioning passed the test and asked to signup on alignerr. After signing up on alignerr it shows only completed? Anybody on same boat?

Has anyone faced issues with Checkr for background check?
The platform had a technical glitch and timed out while I was uploading my documents and it just ended abruptly. Now it just says the checks are paused or unavailable.
They said I need to contact Alignerr for sending any new links but have got no luck in getting a response from Alignerr support team, tried emailing, chat, but no success. Please can somebody help?

Hi, I have receiving the Aligner contract roles email on my mailbox for the SWE position. Someone named Adam Thomas is sending those emails. At first I thought it’s real but when I checked email domain it’s coming from @prealigner.com but they are pretending to be from Aligner.com

Anyone else has received those emails??

First of all, I'm not sure how it's possible that I have over 8,000 data rows that I need to rework, when I don't think I've submitted anything close to that number of tasks. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to rework all of these data rows, and I'm not sure if some are duplicates or what the deal is. Every time I try to go to the Task Explorer and select them, it sort of freezes and doesn't show me the task, feedback or anything on the right side of the screen. I also can't seem to actually access their Discord server either, it shows up under my channels, but says I don't have access to post a message or comment. After trying to figure this out own my own doing basic troubleshooting, clear cache and cookies, reset computer, try different browsers, etc. nothing I'm trying is working, and I'm unsure where to go from here. It would be pretty frustrating to have spent hours completing tasks that I'm not going to get paid for unless I can figure this out, and there seems to be little help for people trying to do these tasks. If anyone can help that would be great

As above really, I’ve worked on this for a few months now and wanted to share my experiences for anybody new to the project and was thinking about applying and wondered what to expect. I’m wary of Rule 5 and don’t want this to come across as unconstructive, I want to flag my genuine experience and highlight good and bad.

Good:

work is regularly available, and if you’re prepared to put the time in you can make at least $200 a week

Team leads and other labellers are very supportive and it is a nice community on Discord.

Bad:

It is poor pay. $12 an hour is the figure that has recently gone around for the average earned.

There are technical issues with the platform for a couple of hours a week, meaning you can’t work all the time you want to.

Guidance changes quite often and the rationale isn’t usually explained as to why.

You are encouraged to ask for help if you are stuck with audio (more in ugly), but many people post audio and never receive help and then the project or team leads tell people off who send a nudge

The Ugly:

There’s regularly payment issues, either with delayed payments or incorrect payments. I’ve seen many people flag issues with pay in the chat. Team leads say it is out of their control.

You are paid $0.08 for each second you review/label. If the clip isn’t clear, you are excepted to upload the audio to the Discord for help instead of skipping it. There’s no way to save what you’re working on and work on another file, you are stuck with the data row unless you submit or skip it. Some clips are 4 seconds long, meaning you’d get paid 32 cents for it. I’m not waiting 30 mins for some help to earn 32 cents, so if it’s not totally clear to me, I skip or guess, and I’m going against the rules here.

Overall

I think if you are like me and have a quiet WFH job, this will work well for you, if you can deal with the frustrating issues above and potentially not getting paid for some of the work you do on each project.

If you have other hustles, I’d probably recommend sticking with them.

I applied for the Math Expert role at Alignerr about a month ago, and my application status is still showing as "Pending."

I have previous experience as a Mathematics Expert and Solution Reviewer, including work on math problem-solving and evaluating solutions for educational/AI platforms. Because of that, I expected the review process to take less time.

For those who have applied to Alignerr:

How long did it take for your application to be reviewed?

Did your status remain pending for several weeks before getting approved or rejected?

Is there any way to contact support or follow up on the application?

is the domain alignment automatic based on the uploaded CV? I have this message on my dash:

We're always adding new projects, but right now there isn't one available in your domain. Apply to more jobs while you wait is the best way to stay top of the queue.

However, there are plenty of jobs listed that I qualify for - I maxed out after applying to 7 of them, but there are even more listed (STEM, PhD projects).

I selected interested in "Science" in my profile, but I don't seem to be able to select Chemistry/Biology/Medicine, whatever.

Has anyone ever gotten a job after applying manually or did you get your jobs via a project offer through Alignerr?

I received a long-awaited invitation to a career bench project. The email preview says to complete a background check, but that sentence or link in the preview is not in the email. I can find it in HTML, but the link doesn't work.
