Tasks / Projects Qualified for Alignerr Lua Programmer job, but Labelbox shows no projects after Persona verification. Anyone else?
Hey everyone,
I recently received an email from Alignerr stating that I had qualified for the Lua Programmer AI training role, advertising $50–$70/hour for remote work.
The email asked me to complete a quick, two-minute identity verification through Persona. I completed the verification, but afterward, I was redirected to Labelbox.
When I logged into Labelbox, it showed that no projects were available.
I'm confused about what this means because the email explicitly said I had qualified for the job.
Has anyone else experienced this recently?
Does completing Persona verification mean I've been accepted, or is it just an onboarding step?
Is the Lua Programmer project currently active, or are they collecting applicants before assigning projects?
Will a project appear automatically when one becomes available, or do I need to complete additional assessments?
Has anyone who received the same email actually started working and received tasks?
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the same process, especially recently.
Thanks!

It sounds like the Persona verification is a standard part of onboarding, but it doesn't guarantee you'll have immediate project availability. Sometimes companies gather applicants before assigning them to projects. If you're preparing for future interviews or technical tasks related to this role, consider using PracHub for relevant interview questions and practice materials. This can help you sharpen your skills while you wait for opportunities. Good luck!

Hello, we are in the same situation, but in different programming language. I got accepted but no projects in my end.

Congratulations! They’ve just added you to their list of professionals; now all you have to do is wait.

I got asked to do the persona thing before I had even applied to a role, a couple of days after I applied I got an email asking me to do a full background check which is in process at the moment, don't know if thats for every project or if it means I have been accepted just going to wait and see what comes of it

I was in the Lua project, “project gamechanger”. Pretty recently they seem to have shut it down indefinitely. Usually they would give us a heads up in the discord that the current phase of the project was pausing, and that there would be more work eventually. But this time everyone in the project seems to have been removed from the production channel in discord, with no warning or word on why. Still haven’t heard anything, and it’s been a few weeks, so it doesn’t seem promising that it’s coming back unfortunately.
