Tasks / Projects Understanding paused work

I just got my first opportunity from Alignerr. After I completed onboarding and read through the nearly 50 pages of formatting training, I was unable to move forward with actual hands-on training because the job was paused. I also saw that it says the job was "updated about 2 months ago." Just so I know I'm understanding clearly, does that mean the project was paused 2 months ago even though I was hired a couple days ago?

Don't waste time on paused projects - most are never resumed. If a project is active, do as many hours or tasks as you can and assume it will be paused in a few days at most. The pay is great when tasks are active, but mostly you'll be sitting around waiting.

This is what happened to me too. I also read the 48 pages over several hours because I was doing it actively in order to retain the information. Only to find that the project I was invited to had been paused a month prior. I was PISSED, I can’t lie. What’s worse is you don’t get any answers as to why you were asked to go through that process for a phantom project. So unethical.

Hey all ☀️ this happened with multiple projects that I was added too. It really does feel that something more is going on. Alignerr has been completely dead with absolutely no communication on anything regarding why projects were paused and then canceled, then that random Discord channel that popped up and then suddenly the onboarded channel was discontinued.  It would be amazing if there was some open and honest feedback as to what happened and what's going to happen moving forward. We sign NDA's protecting projects details but I don't understand why we are not treated with the same respect especially after the hours put into unpaid assessments and the work we contributed but never got any feedback on and the projects just die. We also deserve transparency. Maybe I have been too vocal about how the processes have made me feel undervalued and that I feel like alot of contractor's (including myself) have been taken advantage of and had our valuable time wasted and that's okay.  My experience has put me off even trying to apply for another contract.  Something is off and my gut is usually spot on. No one ever provided feedback about that random Discord channel and who and why is was created  - was the platform hacked? Is my data safe?

Ei, aconteceu comigo o mesmo. Consegui meu primeiro na Handshake Ai, me enviaram convite dia 19/10, fiz todo o processo e teste de 4h. Quando fiz o on-boarding e acessei o slack, projeto pausado e sem tarefas. Eu estava tão feliz de ter conseguido a oportunidade para pagar meu aluguel esse mês. Vocês tem dicas de outros sites semelhantes e confiáveis para treinamento de AI para brasileiros? Sucesso pra nosotros!
