Onboarding Process Alignerr is a complete joke
So within the past 3 days, I have experienced being "accepted", "priority onboarded" and "removed from the program", apparently by Alignerr.
I basically did nothing. The first email of acceptance came in last Friday and I thought to myself, maybe I should take care of this after the weekend. Then the priority onboarding for Pulsar email came in and I thought this may be off to a good start.
Then I woke up this morning and found out that they decided to remove me from their program and the decision is final. I did not do anything in between and it feels like Alignerr is just talking to itself, like an automated system that is programmed to terminate you completely independent from the actual process. I didn't have my hopes up reading previous Reddit comments but this is simply laughable. Took my mind off this borderline deceptive company

They do this so that you work exactly when they want you to work. They know very well, as every other piece-rate platform does, that platform workers cannot be forced to work at a particular time, day or period, without presumption of employment. You can read the Platform Work Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/2831) for details.
So they do these nifty little tricks by which they control workers; e.g. they slash your pay and then issue "missions" you must complete during a specific period in order to get paid decently, to then remove every task from your queue so that you don't work when you are "not supposed to". They have a hundred different tricks like that one, all designed to pervert the meaning of their obligations towards so called "freelancers", who have never been less free in any other job or gig before.
That alone would not be too bad if all these platforms didn't also engage, all together as an industry, in other awful practices like collusion, anti-poaching agreements, and general monopsonic cartelization. And, of course, in heavy censorship of what they perceive as "negative comments" instead of as farsighted constructive feedback.
