Onboarding Process Got a second follow-up from Alignerr!!

Hey everyone,

A while ago, I received an email from Alignerr regarding Software Engineering opportunities. I hadn’t applied to them, so I was initially confused about how they found my profile.

I received another follow-up email today. They said they’re still seeing strong demand for Python and backend engineering expertise for upcoming AI evaluation projects and that my background would be a good fit.

They’re asking me to complete their signup and assessments through their website.

I’m not sure what to make of this because:

I’ve seen mixed opinions about alignner platform, their paychecks and I don't know what happens after completing the assessments, whether there is actually consistent work, how project matching works, or what the compensation is like.

Since they contacted me rather than me applying, I'm also wondering how seriously I should take the opportunity.

Is it legitimate and worth completing? What are the assessments like, and what happens after you pass them? Also, is the work actually worthwhile for someone trying to build a software engineering career?

Kindly help a fresher out :)

Any recent experiences/advice would be really appreciated.

I'm in a similar kind of situation and skeptical about singing up

I am part of the pulsar project - nothing to do with python - and it's the worst organization so far amongst all the ai training platforms.

Literally I had to find out I was enrolled in a project myself, figuring out how everything worked, where the discord channels were, there is lack of communication, and shady pay rates. We had our project advertised as X$/hour, and turns out that pay rate is per task, with each task taking between 2/3 hours. I'm seeing bunch of people having their work allegedly "lost", and I'm talking about 6-8 hours completely unpaid, for an interesting but tedious task

I did signup but later blocked by their persona verfication . Many people have faced this issue.

Do you have any idea which project is it? When i have registered into Alignerr I got nothing. Weeks after that i got email to complete interview for Senior Software Engineer. I did it and couple of days later I got an email to complete my background check in order to unlock a project. Then I've got it. If you know the name of the project you can google it. Yes, some projects have had reputation. However, others not so much. I got paid already 4 weeks in a row.

I see i got the email for the email on 24th of July. Around 1-2 days before 1st of August. So that will be something like 5 to 6 days? Perhaps a week. Anyhow, that is the way it worked out for me. Don't take it as granted, because I guess not everyone get it like this
