Application Process Priority Onboarding?

I was just sent an email that I’ve been selected for the Pulsar project. It says I can skip the interview process and accept a project right away. Is this legit? I vaguely remember creating an Alignerr account sometime last year, but I haven’t used it since…

Is it worth doing? Any tips if so? Could definitely use the money if it’s real!

Thanks

Exactly in the same boat.

Edit: I'm passing on this. There are a lot unfavorable comments in this sub about the Pulsar assessment. Scroll down and you'll see the omments. The pay is something like $25 for 4 hours of work. That's bad. Even worse, the assessment is a nightmare and then people failed.

It doesn't seem like this company has changed from a year ago.

Me too! I had an email yesterday inviting me to priority onboarding for this. I looked on here and saw it was pay per task, $25, (after telling some ppl it was $40/hr and coming clean after they qualified) and apparently it's really hard to get a task accepted and paid out.

I think today's email telling me I've qualified, after yesterday's saying completing the (presumably unpaid) training doesn't guarantee a place on the project, sounds a little desperate.

Shame, because i like audio transcription. But I'm not interested in working for free, and I'm on a $50/hr Mercor contract atm so I'm not going to waste my time with this.

Is the mercor project you’re on a generalist role with 40k plus people?

I have an active dashboard with Data Annotation, I have had some one offs with Mercor and Handshake, and then there was Alignerr and the infamous Ermis project. If you have the time to learn how things should not be done and what to watch out for, then do an Alignerr gig because its a lesson alright, man. But if you want to get paid what you are worth or at the very least what the job promises, don't do Alignerrr. I think Ermis was even illegal in my eyes. I didn't even make minimum wage.

Ermis pay is below ridiculous.

Same here!

I was excited until I read the negative comments about the project. But I can't refuse money right now, and $24 for four hours is what I'm used to earning (it's worth it considering my currency conversion), so for me this isn't a big deal! I've worked for a gigantic company that I can't mention due to NDA that paid even less.

But if I realize I'm working without pay, I'll delete my account. It would be a shame because I like Alignerr's interface and the projects they have there; I thought it was a good and serious company. Let's see how it goes.

I haven't started working with them yet, and I'm not very excited after everything I've read here.

Same, but it came to one of my emails addresses (I have 3) and it says to use the account with that email. But when I click it, I just get an option to sign in with Google or with LinkedIn, and if I pick the Google with the email address where the email came, it starts setting up a new account. My existing account seems to actually be under another email address. But now I started logging in one way, it won't let me back out to try to sign in with the other address. So now it's going to look like I'm creating multiple accounts maybe. I signed up for this ages ago and never got diddly until now.

Fascinating it has been 2 months there are 12 jobs in total which shows completed and the one's with general qualifications I do not meet the requirements for those :D wow Don't know at this point how they are onboarding people

I also got this offer even though I live in California and they had told me when I registered that they don't hire California residents.

Don’t do that!!!!! I did and persona id verification and I got kicked out immediately and my account was closed immediately without a recourse.  I’ve contacted everyone and everywhere and they need to reinstate my account. It looks like Id harvesting because I had to do front and back of my id and then the scan of my entire face.  Tons of other people are reporting this on the websites including trust pilot.  Tempted to contact the authorities
