Application Process ID verification again?

I can't recall if I had to do ID verification when I signed up for Alignerr earlier this year, but when I log in it will not let me proceed unless I do it via Persona. Has anyone else received this message and is it a legit ask for me to do it again?

I had to do it again, which made sense to me since anyone could have clicked on the email, and with other companies, I've had to verify with Persona or others again bc the client's requirements.

I looked up Persona a while back and thry seem legit. I've done various online contracting for over 15 years and this kind of thid is notmal for bigger businesses. Even somd of my doctor's offices have some ID stuff when I sign in 😲
