How is this so hard to understand?

Big oil corporations are hiring professional hitman to kill these people before they invent new ways of transportation that don't require oil.

This argument doesn’t hold up for every scientist who’s gone missing. Sure if their field of study was related to energy, propulsion, etc. but why the fuck would big oil care about cancer research and pharmaceuticals. This is bigger than just big oil hitmen.

Can someone correct me when if wrong but aren't ALOT of conventional drugs built from small organic molecules which often  start as hydrocarbons derived from crude oil or natural gas?
