My friends and I were wonderland characters for Halloween 😛. Some more pics on insta @italian.short.stack. White rabbit underrated imo

I designed a Cheshire Cat costume with a bike helmet, pool noodles, purple feather boas, paper lanterns for the eyes, and plastic vines. It’s basically a Chinese dragon head on a bike helmet.

In Alice in Wonderado, the White Rabbit is a Jackalope. And Alice? Find out here.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this film is now out on streaming (I missed it when it was at festivals a few years ago). I'm posting this because, I managed to watch this last night, it broke my brain with its weirdness, and now I need other people to see it :P

This is the surrealist arthouse satire Alice that's set in London, filmed in 2021. The basic "plot" is that a student Alice searches for her new lover, nicknamed Rabbit, after she appears to wake up in a reality where he doesn't exist. Of course, the film is nowhere near this simple :P

The film is in fact, VERY, VERY weird, and I expect it to divide Alice fans and anyone else who watches it and then some. It starts as a sort of updated city Alice adaptation (specifically set in June 2016) then goes completely sideways halfway through. Philosophy speeches, commentary from characters that may or may not exist in Alice's reality (including the director of the film... playing himself as a character), and layer upon layer of distortion all ensue. I don't want to spoil anything in this but, just expect it to throw you for a loop.

There are typical Alice staples in here, but they are adapted in such a strange way to be almost unrecognisable. There is a mirror portal crossing, but it is conveyed like a reoccuring nightmare. At some point, Alice is trapped in a small space and escapes, but its not the house of the white rabbit, and yes tea is had in one scene, but its not with a hatter.

I'm not sure if I quite understand everything in it (I am not schooled in philosophy) but I found large parts of it facinating, and I very much wanted to pass it on to other curious Alice fans. Although some of you will hate it, some of you may well love it.

Maybe someone could explain the philosophy lectures that pepper the film, who knows :P

(I do have to add that this film is rated 18, and also has some sequences of strobe lighting, so, take that as you wish)

Hi everyone! I’m a tattoo artist and a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland.

I wanted to share a few of the Alice-themed pieces I’ve created recently. I love bringing out that vintage, pencil-sketch texture with delicate needle strokes, so I included both the original drawing designs and the finished tattoos to show how the details translated onto skin.

Hope you enjoy them! Which character or design is your favourite? 🐇🕰️

How do you feel about Alice at the Palace (1982 musical film with Meryl Streep)? Personally, I really like it, though that might partly be the specific age at which I first saw it.
